    Group interviews

ok you go in and sit at a table with the rest of your group and one or more assessor people. They usually ask you to introduce yourself. Then you get given a couple of activities which you will have to brainstorm as a group, so it's just a discussion on whatever work-related topic they give you...

    Sexual Preferences!

i know i won't, is that any help? I think glycerine has one of the best chances, but that might be diminished by the fact that there was a mw on buffy recently in the showcase. I hope not for her sake, she deserves it.

    Group interviews

i prefer group interviews... though i was terrified the first time i went to one. I like it cos you can gauge the competition, and it's a really good chance to prove yourself better than other people. Like in mine, most people were really quiet so it was my chance to really speak out and show...

    Coles Myer Group Interviews

i hate the whole retail catch-22 thing. this was my chance to get into retail. Normally, you can't get into retail unless you have retail experience, and you can't get retail experience unless you get into retail!! man this is annoying... i think i'll just email them and if i get knocked back...

    Chemistry of art anyone?

there is still a fair amount of memorisation in chem of art, but it is more real chem than shipwrecks... wish we did shipwrecks... it's so easy!!! (but also boring!) then again, most of chemistry is just memorising... (doesn't make it any easier for me.) so which schools do chem of art apart...

    Coles Myer Group Interviews

ok i went for my group interview 3 months ago, and got the email saying i had progressed to the next round. However, i havne't heard from them since for one on one interviews or anything. the thing is, that they could have called and since we don't have a n answering machine or anything, i...

    did i read that right???

you don't specifically have to link the techniques... link the concepts and use the rubric, make sure your texts are explored well and examine the journey and the impacts of it upon both the personas and the responders. you don't have to say the techniques are the same for both your texts -...

    Year 12 holidays

i normally do absolutely no work in the hols, even last hols before the trials (bad move!) However, i do intend to spend all this holidays studying cos i've done none up to this point and if i don't i'm seriously going to screw up my hsc...

    did i read that right???

you always have to link everything in journeys (this is journeys right? please tell me if it's not!) the techniques should tell how it is your particular type of journey (physical, inner or imaginative), so once you've established that it is a particular journey through techniques, you're...

    ranks

hang on... you got the same rank as someone? our school they won't rank anyone the same even if they have the same marks... ok, so now i have no idea how that happened...
  11. tomorrows_angel

    ranks

no the second one makes sense... they can't give the same rank to two people, so when it comes down to that the teachers sit down and choose which they think to be the more capable student and has the potential to do better. stupid system i say, all this ranking crap.

    Crappy Principals Bitching Thread

hmmm i guess i can't complain about our principal... he won't let us fundraise for the formal cos he thinks it's unfair that we get other people to pay for us having a night of fun, when he let year 10 last year fundraise ALL YEAR for theirs... he wouldn't let us have our formal at taronga...

i do, well sort of... i was working 10.5 hours a week up till term 3, with a couple of extra hours if i could do the shifts, now i'm on casual so i get them to call me if they need someone... cos i really didn't have the time this term and it;s all done on a permanent part time roster... i only...

i haven't actually looked yet, but www.hsc.csu.edu.au, the charles sturt uni site, has just updated their options so now there is info on the chem of art... you could try that. hope it helps.

    importance of models - ligands

there are three models that we have to know that i'm aware of: lewis acids crystal field theory valence bond theory... i don't think it means physical models.

    ranks

it says on the board of studies student website that they will be put up after the last hsc exam in november (can't remember the date). and that's the same as what our school told us - that you won't find out till the end of exams and then you have 2 days to appeal if there's a problem with them.

4 weeks to go. how prepared?

ummm well atm i'm not studying at all.. this is my (perpetual) rest time.. however, i do intend to spend a lot of my holidays studying... but i figure i've already screwed up this year, if i don't do well enough then i'll repeat at tafe next year and get higher marks.

    (Another) UAI Estimation Please!

i'd say tommy's pretty accurate... schools tend to be slightly biased in their estimates...
