i also believed the atar was confidential, is this absolutely true? i was surprised when my school rang me up and said "we know your atar is 92.45 we are going to publish it in our newsletter if thats ok." i said yes because i dont care but i was left wondering as to how they obtained it...

yeh i still want to get into med, engineering is really my second choice career. however if i dont get in next year or the year after i think i will be content to just focus on engineering. edit: noticed you've got a pretty nifty atar there. when you re-apply for med will they take your atar...

i applied at uncle, unsw and uws. want to go to uncle though. no interview unfortunately... lol i went to a public school, i dont think i would know you though, i dont know of anyone doing biomed.

hm i dont really want to say. i went to one in lake macquarie. i kinda only have a loose association with cessnock lol, its where my dad and i both work.

i know thats not what happens (all 50s getting into the yws) go back and look at my last few posts in this thread. i believe that the yws should be about the best works. and by best i mean the ones that the markers considered best. ie. the 49s, 50s etc. obviously this would be balanced out...

i didnt ignore what u said. i know they try to pick a range of interesting works. but... its about showcasing the best works. if someone wrote a highly experimental work...but it was only done well enough to get say 42 or 43.. its not going to get in the showcase just because it may be...

i know but if they said my work was good enough to get into the YWS id wondering why they didnt consider it good enough to get a 49 or 50. and yeh the friend im talking about wrote a musical script so i think thats a pretty unique style lol
