    How'd everyone go?

Nah. Sorry to be a pain and keep this going but I believe it said the voltage measured after the lightbulb was 2V, not that it used 2V. I must have misread it then. Anyone remember / have a paper? And the velocity ratio question screwed me..

    How'd everyone go?

From how I read it, the force was acting 800mm in, while the two forks from the forklift were each 500mm in. My shear force diagram essentially started at 500 in, force at 800, then finished at 1500mm. Outside had no shear force. I then used that to get my bending moment diagram. What value do...

    How'd everyone go?

I got 1.89KNm as well. IT WAS DRAWN TERRIBLY THOUGH! Could you please explain how you got 20mA? I've never understood that stuff even though I did physics as well >.> Also it was definitely compression, and my teacher says forging was the best method.. whiiiiich I didn't choose >.<

    How'd everyone go?

I stuffed that one up hugely, had no idea what to do. I started off alright but yeah... missed a few major things.

    How'd everyone go?

My stupid table had something loose on it somewhere, so everytime I rubbed it made a loud banging noise, and I felt bad for everyone else sitting near me haha, it sucked. At least there was only 7 of us there today, small class.

To throw you off. Clearly it's worked on some of us if the answer is B haha.

    How'd everyone go?

I rubbed that out and redrew it like 3-4 times... the drawing we had to get it from was ridiculous... so hard to tell where everything was and what was happening... I didn't get it.

All above ;) I wasn't sure whether it was above or below, so flicked through the exam to find a drawing with dimensions and it was all above, legitimate "cheating" ftw! :D Clarification: ^I just google imaged that but apparently it's from this website haha...

Can you think and write quickly?

If I try to think about what to keep writing and writing at the same time... it gets a bit wth. If i read over it afterwards it doesn't make that much sense haha, but english is NOT my strong point so I'm not too worried.

My teacher never taught us that or mentioned the whole tolerance thing, but he said c was right almost immediately, he was pretty sure, so I think I got lucky with my pick haha.

    How'd everyone go?

Nah if you check last page I even redid the calculation to check, 24.5 KN in compression ;) I've done A LOT of that stuff (huge assignment based around building a bridge) so I'm pretty confident in my answer.

I'd never heard of stress corrosion cracking so went with a :( The multiple choice was pretty easy actually... in the trial almost no one got over 50% for the multiple choice at my school.

    Does aos align?

I see... this whole thing has never really made sense haha. Thanks.

    Does aos align?

Does that mean you can essentially get two minor boosts to your mark?

    How'd everyone go?

Yeah, I see what you did though. They tried to over complicate it on you. What it actually said was the voltage recorded after the light bulb was 2, not the voltage drop over the light bulb, hence the actual drop was 16V, simple question presented in a more complicated way.

Yes, that's correct, however it says you are moving cylinder Y (the bigger one) 1mm, X HAS to move more than 1mm, using what you just said... And to do it correctly you have to find the area of each cylinder pi cancels, so, 360^2/120^2 = 9. So for each mm the bigger one moves, the little one...

    How'd everyone go?

Voltage drop was 16 not 2.

    How'd everyone go?

hmm for X... I used joint A as to get rid of it and the 2/3 members i cut that i didn't want, leaving the 15KN force downwards and the 5KN wind from memory... So from A, (4x15)+(1.42x5)-(Xx8sin(20)) So, X = (4x15)+(1.42x5)/8sin(20) =24.5KN, and it was in compression. Not sure if 1.42 was the...

    How'd everyone go?

Ah I knew there was something to do with the voltage drop... However, the voltage went from 18 to 2, making the voltage drop 16. So from what you've written that still makes V = 2? Unless you just mistyped it or something.
