Go through stages when you feel like you can do the HSC and get decent marks, and then stages where you feel utterly hopeless and doomed to a sub-60 ATAR? :( Been the story of my life, am I really, super unprepared or is this normal?

Yeah I'm aware, I just think the creative is a lot more focused on quality over quantity, whereas your essay needs both.

I'm thinking of trying to get mine done in about 25 - 30 minutes. To give more time for essay writing and short answers, I am kind of a slow writer but I can get 13/15 in 650 words (making it up to around 800 for HSC) Thoughts?

If it makes you feel any better OP. I am in the same situation. Haven't memorized any essays for English, and haven't prepared for Hamlet yet = / Also I've only done about half of the business syllabus and not thoroughly. We'll be okay, just need to work our asses off until Monday. :) Goodluck!

My handwriting is shocking when I try to write fast, which is in fact incredibly slow. I need to improve speed and neatness, is there a way I can do this? It is essential and often leads to me getting worse marks as I can't get everything down as fast as I think. Cheers

Do you guys try remember your essays then tweak/reproduce them in the exam to suit the question? Or do you remember themes/quotes then make the essay in the exam?
