Why do you get penalised for the efforts of the rest of your classmates?

I am in year 10 but I am doing the prelim course for ext 1 maths this year meaning I'll do my math HSC in year 11. Even if you don't need ext 1 for the course you want to get in to, most universities and employers look highly on the course and it also helps that the course scales well.

How come on the UAC scaling chart it says that italian continuers scale lower than modern greek continuers?

I do the course and was told that tutoring because of the added homework can cause more stress on a student causing them to do worse

I want to do 14 units in year 11 and I know that is not advised but at the moment I am doing the prelim course for extension 1 maths which means that in year 12 I would have dropped 3 units meaning that in year 12 it would only be 11
