Islam: Cartoonist behind Everybody Draw Muhammad put on hitlist

Death to those who call Muslims violent.

Political Views and Occupation/Profession/Degree of Study

I was looking at statistics from professors at American universities and where they stood politically... I'll see if I can find it.

Election called - THE LAST DAY TO ENROL IS MONDAY!

When in doubt, vote for the shooters. When in doubt, actually, vote for ANY PARTY but the Greens.

Where do you sit on the Political Compass?

As compared to Socialist/Communist systems which have resulted in poverty and death for most.

    the fuck is with equality

Great video, Thatcher was completely right; socialists have no qualms with poverty and low standards of life, as long as everybody is equally poor. Generally speaking there is freedom and there is equality. Pick one. A utopia will never exist; freedom creates inequality and equality...

Where do you sit on the Political Compass?

I live in Western Sydney. The majority of poor people I've come across are simply lazy and apathetic. Even worse, their children have a sense of entitlement; expecting the government to prodivde for them in the absence of their useless parents. There is a world of opportunity here, the problem...

Where do you sit on the Political Compass?

Oh, I get it now. Some level of views being imposed on the public is necessary; that is the essence of law and authority, afterall. The view that murder is bad is imposed on the public; thus it is illegal to commit muder. No opinions or views being imposed would essentially be anarchism.

ISLAMIC chops off professors hand for alleged blasphemy

Not a huge fan of Islam thanks soley to Studies of Religion; damn that's a boring unit to study.

    Aganist abortion

I never said anything about forcing the woman to raise the child, I'm saying that adoption seems to be blatantly disregarded as an option. Carrying the child for 9 months is a burden; but in the end the child gets to live and a couple who really want a child, but aren't able to reproduce can...

    Aganist abortion

Not really religious. I guess I'm Agnostic. That's a good point. But I suppose if you are taking both mother and child into consideration; forcing the mother to have the child as a product of rape would be more severe than say, a product of a drunken weekend at the Gold Coast.</SPAN>

    Aganist abortion

This is where your personal view comes in as to when life begins. Of course a 9 month pregnancy and birth is a huge thing; those who believe that the unborn child is worthy human life would view the process as necessary. While there are cases on contraception failing, there are also a lot of...

    Aganist abortion

    Adoption gogo.

Political Views and Occupation/Profession/Degree of Study

All of my right-wing friends who go to university are doing courses that revolve around science or economics. If you look at statistics (from the US) the only fields in which the vast majority of professors are not left-wing; it's in the scientific/mathematic/economic courses. The economics...

    Aganist abortion

This is why I enjoy Studies of Religion class - bioethics debates. Personally, I'm against abortion unless the mother's life is in danger, the child will be born with severe defects (that is; vegetative/semi-vegetative etc) or if the mother was raped. Why can't people decide they don't want...

Where do you sit on the Political Compass?

Huh? I'm imposing my views? All I did was post my result. Does that mean everybody in this thread is imposing their views on everyone?
  16. E

Where do you sit on the Political Compass?

Somebody votes for the Greens. I answered them all with complete honesty, my dot is right between the Liberals and Nationals; so I'd assume my position on that compass is pretty damn mainstream.

Intelligent design to be taught in Queensland schools under national curriculum

Y'know a growth in Atheism is a sign of a civilisation in decline? Not saying I agree with the education reform; just thought I'd point that out.

Where do you sit on the Political Compass?

    Represent'n teh authoritarian right?
