maths ext 2 through correspondence-any good?

Solutions: 1. See if your lessons can be organised through a direct, live, webcam with your correspondence teacher. Make sure you ask all the questions during the lesson. 2. See if the school will allow you to complete the MX2 lessons at an approved private tutor, or at a different school. 3...

I need help with coping with STRESS!!

I heard intensive exercise is good for stress, so I'd probably go out for a run around the block just to shake off the feelings of butterflies and to boost motivation. Otherwise, you could just stock up on those UTS muscle man stress balls. (how does squeezing something relieve stress?) Also...

    UNSW Open day.

I've seen little primary kids get dragged along by their parents to open days. *face palm* Definitely will be there, pretty much fell in love at first sight when I saw it, practically deserted on a cold Saturday morning. :) I'll be there early too, because I missed out on a whole heap of...

    4-Unit Maths?

Happens a lot for me. The people in my class are very different, and I'm easily impressed when someone else is able to solve a question that I couldn't, and then I wonder, 'Why didn't I think of that?' lolololol.

    Hsc - After Prelim Exams

Chillaxing, since it'll be the last break I get before the intense studying starts.

    I need inspiration! Or something!!

Easiest way would be to study outside of your house. Like the previous BoSer said, you probably have a distracting study environment at home (or you have come to associate home with relaxation). I'd study in the quiet area of the local library, or even just pay 80c to study on the bus if that...

    4-Unit Maths?

I know people who have started tutoring for 4 unit mathematics already. I've taken a look at Complex Numbers, and found it rather interesting and a completely random (but nonetheless logical) concept, and now I'm quite adamant about getting the probation (or even better, invitation) marks for it.

    Guys true story

    1. Certain students over-do themselves in Prelim. 2. Non-bothered (but naturally smart) students see the other students working hard. 3. Non-bothered students think, 'Oh crud, I should start working.' 4. Non-bothered students start to surpass the over-working students. 5. Over-working Prelim...

    Organising Work (merged)

Re: best way to organise books? Your school bag is already humongous. Unless you intend to bring a suitcase to school...

Not sure which one to pick up: Mathematics or English Extension 2

Gosh, but I'm getting 98% in SaC, and the rankings are pretty close with the top people are scoring in the 95% - 100% range. Everybody in our class is practically getting at least 90%.

    Organising Work (merged)

Re: best way to organise books? Probably what Hendrix would have done to his school books. :)

    Your yr 11 eng AoS

We're doing Identity. It's partially relevant to the new AoS Belonging. I still cannot believe we are being guinea pigged.

    Organising Work (merged)

Re: best way to organise books? Don't be a moron, lol. Just bring loose leaf to school and then file it all into your folders when you get home (what I will be doing). And hello, D. Edit: BTW, I recall reading that someone on this forum actually does bring a separate folder for each subject...

    4unit Syllabus

It seems as if they are 'dumbing' down the syllabus, or am I wrong? I'd rather still retain the older syllabus as I will be able to practice on the million or so Extension 2 papers that are available. (as previously said by someone)

Preliminary Society and Culture Students: PIP ideas

Although, legally we're not supposed to start the PIP until the HSC year, that doesn't stop you from mentally thinking of ideas and since we're so close to starting our HSC, people must have started thinking about what they're going to do. So I'd to know if any Year 11 Society and Culture...

Do any Universities offer the Duke of Edinburgh Awards?

Okay, I'll do that now. I guessed that most Universities would offer it since the age limit for Dukes is 14 - 25 years. In the meanwhile, do any current/ex students of UNSW and/or USyd know if their institution offer the award?

Do any Universities offer the Duke of Edinburgh Awards?

As per thread title. I regret not doing it in Year 9/10 and I don't think I'd have the time to start due to school work, assessments etc, so I'm trying to find out whether any Universities offer the Duke's award.

    The Literary Acquisition Thread

Bought recently: Great Speeches A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini + a free copy of Bombproof by Michael Robotham because A Thousand Splendid Suns was on the Books Alive list

Keep Getting Error Message about NMIndexStoreSvr.exe?

Thanks. I think I'll downgrade to Nero 6, had no problem with Nero Scout back then.

    USyd and UTS open day.

I went to UNSW last week for a lecture (non-CC Day), and I think in terms of facilities and appearance, UNSW significantly is better than USyd. I'll be attending the Careers and Courses Day next Saturday just to see how the lecturers compare to USyd. The UNSW Australian School of Business...
