Ok, I'm going to use this structure to try and give out some general information for the Cosmology Distinction Course, I completed the course last year and hopefully I remember enough to actually answer all these points. Of course, if there are further questions and I pass through this thread...

To be honest, from what I can remember about doing the Cosmology course last year that there isn't actually that much maths involved, not as much as people think there is. Although, yes, there is a lot of maths compared to Philosophy/Comparitive Literature, there really isn't that much that is...

Cambridge for 3 unit. Plus Coroneous for supplementary questions. Seriously, Cambridge is really good for extension 1 maths.Yes, opinion, but having compared a lot of the extension 1 texts, it's seriously good.

I will try and find a link to this information for you, I gathered this from talking with various people from the Board of Studies and UAC leading me to this conclusion.

From the information that I've gathered, they don't count extension courses as seperate subjects from the originial course that they stem from.

There is a process to receive raw HSC marks, and people have gotten their raw marks in the past, it just has become incredibly rare (if at all possible) to obtain raw marks from the Board of Studies nowdays. I know me121 received his exam scripts back (for which subjects were they again?) but as...

Of course they won't get the same UAI. Student A isn't even eligible for a UAI. Yeah, look at the eligibility criteria for a UAI. Extension units do not count as separate subjects. That's the reason why Student A won't get a UAI.

If you did the 2 unit HSC exam paper, then yes, you would have received a HSC mark for 2 unit maths. If you then went on to do extension 2 maths, for the purposes of the UAI, that 2 unit mark would no longer be considered in the calculation of the UAI. If you only did preliminary 2 unit maths...

Well, from what I've heard, at the very least a good D average in Physics to stay in TSP till second semester, let alone second year :( Yeah, I'll just need to do work now, I suppose :uhhuh: Yeah, there would be differences between the way the TSP programs are run inbetween the different...

Haha, non-serious attempt :P I don't even know whether I'll be able to maintain the HD average needed to keep myself in the Physics TSP program after first year :o
