    Year 11 Equipment/Resources

Haha, I haven't gotten myself into that situation, but then that's because I 'borrowed' my sister's stuff for the first week back :D:o

    would GM scale you up?

To be kinda blunt, almost all subjects scale down unless you are at the very top end of the cohort. Only a few subjects (due to the strength of the candidature attempting the course) actually 'scale up' from the median mark, so to speak. If you manage to get a 90+ HSC mark, then scaling will not...

    Year 11 Equipment/Resources

Yes, penalise me even more because I used a bigger font than Times New Roman, which already places me at a disadvantage against the rest of the students :o You mean the weekend after school starts :o

HSC Certificates out today Class of 2007

I can't wake up at 9am in the morning, I'd be better off staying up through the night till 9am.
  8. S

    Holidays !!!

No, that is quite valuable experience as well, but make sure to do those questions again at a later date, so that you become familiar to the style of HSC examination questions and revise over the topics again :) What you are doing now will reinforce your revision done at a later date :uhhuh...

wat sort of UAU will i get???

Year 11 marks do not count towards your UAI, so you have a clean slate to work off from the start of year 12. From what I see there, if you maintain your ranks in your subjects (try to get 1st rank in all your subjects), and then perform well in your HSC exams, then you should be looking at a...

HSC Certificates out today Class of 2007

I like the way you think beanie. Want to get a drink on the night? :)

Does your subject impact on your UAI results?

Aligned. The cohort that they rank you against is the School Certificate cohort of the year when you were in Year 10, so for example the class of 2007 would have been ranked and placed into their positions using the students who did the School Certificate in 2005, assuming that all the students...

HSC Certificates out today Class of 2007

I got a TAFE promotion booklet with the HSC certificates. Obviously they're pushing me towards something :o
  15. S

Does your subject impact on your UAI results?

Accelerated 2 unit maths in year 10 (2005) and extension 1 maths in year 11 (2006), hence how I managed to do both the 2 unit and extension 2 HSC papers :) And if you did extension 2 maths and got a HSC result in it, they don't take it into account at all for UAI calculation. That really doesn't...
  16. S

    Acceleration of HSC subjects

It's possible to accelerate both in the same year, a few of the people in my grade when I was in school did that, with rather respectable results.
  17. S

    Year 11 Equipment/Resources

Meh, Arial size 12 font got me through the HSC year. Unless they're incredibly pedantic (and yes, some of the teachers are), you'll be fine with whatever font and spacing you choose.

Does your subject impact on your UAI results?

I will tutor in Physics, but only as a last resort. And when I mean last, I really do mean it, there are much more qualified physics tutors out there and I'd be willing to recommend a few of them myself before taking it on myself. As for Cosmology, well I do believe the only way those...

Does your subject impact on your UAI results?

South-west Sydney region, so Fairfield, Cabramatta, Liverpool, the surrounding suburbs around those areas, as well as further away if need be, I'm willing to travel. I'll post a thread up tomorrow on details about my tutoring service.
