I've always gone by the rationale of never using 'I' or 'my/mine' etc in a critical essay; if the assessment is a reflection statement, and permits (or asks for, even) the use of personal pronouns, then go for it. I don't know, it just seems impromper to make it personal.

Hell yeah! I love FF7, and I think it's one of the, if not THE, greatest video games of all time. I haven't played any of the Final Fantasy's after 9, but apparently they're not that great. I didn't particularly like 8, considering they all became big, and I liked little Cloud.
