    I haven't done this topic yet, and I'm not too familiar with it. But, for Q1(a) is the answer 540?? I got the coefficient of x<sup>2</sup> as being -108 and -108 x -5 = 540. Hhhmm....well, someone tell me if I'm wrong. :)

    d/dx pretty much means "find the derivative of..." e.g. instead of writing: y=x^2 .'. dy/dx = 2x you can just write: d/dx x^2 = 2x it's just faster.

    just for interest.... are you allowed to use 3U methods in 2U? e.g. if a question said: hence or <u>otherwise</u> expand (x+y)^4 - note the "otherwise" in a 2U test does that mean you could use binomial theorem??

    at my school, if you do accel., you have to do 3U - there's no accelerant 2U :) there are 9 people in my class (including me). in 2U, we have trig. graphing/differentiation etc and physical apps to do. in 3U, we have further work on the ones above + binomial th. + inverse functions...

    I think the best summary/formula book is one in the Accelerated Maths Learning series, called "Important Facts & Formulae" - costs $14 from memory at Dymocks. It's probably cheaper than printing stuff off (coz sheets of formula can be up to 80 pages long = $16 in ink and paper) :) *I hope...
