My local public school (traditional public school huge cohort): two students ATAR >90 (3rd-ranked was 83)
My (non-selective) private school (cohort only 33 students): eight students ATAR >90.
Yeah, I've got an FM transmitter I use with my iPhone - but the audio quality through FM vs CD is such that I burn discs of albums I listen to a lot! I'd seen those mods - but so much effort for what ends up being a kludge anyway.
It's all integrated into the dash as a single unit with the climate control - no can do :(

Movies? I rent/buy those on iTunes.
TV shows? I torrent those when they air in their home country; why should I have to wait weeks for Doctor Who or Top Gear to come to Australia, replete with ads, when there's a nice, clean HD version right there.
And, worse, who even knows when Ice Pilots NWT...

Likes: Can carry loads of stuff; handles well enough; enough power to be fun; boxer engine sounds and revs excellently; don't have to worry about trivialities such as bumps and potholes; all-wheel-drive!

Love my D300 - it's a great camera to use... shame it's starting to get some weird bugs - must be time to move on.
Shallower depth of field for a lower f-stop.
Past papers, past papers, past papers.
For everything except English, that's all I did: just do a past paper, make a list of things that you missed/didn't feel strong about, go practice/read up/ask your teacher about those things; repeat until the exam comes. Worked great.
Starting realistically, then not so much:
- An Alfa Romeo (for the experience of owning one)
- Subaru BRZ (or the GT86 if the BRZ doesn't come to Aus - looks like a fun car for a good price)
- Original Audi Quattro (just damn cool)
- Aston Martin Vantage (Who doesn't?)
