Do combined commerce at UNSW → combined with media seems right for you.
- I heard commerce (international) is overated but if you like the idea of studying overseas for a year then go for it (compulsory).
- You could always transfer to law at UNSW → only your wam is considered → maintain an 80...
Even though they assume you know MX1 they sort of teach it again (just quickly I guess). I'm sure that if you stay up to date with your work you should be fine. Also tbh high school physics doesn't really help imo.
For friend: school ranked 100 with rankings: 10-20. Band 5s/E3 in all subjects --> 95 ATAR (marks from 79-89) --> 4U, Eng (Adv), Chem, Phys
Imo didn't try too hard but very achievable for you.
Many of my mates with wam 80ish internal transferred in UNSW to law. They did commerce/economics which are your other options besides arts. It's not hard (easy for some) to maintain D or HD averages, given you put work into it.
Med at UWS have a good med society and heard its fun and social! Social life depends if you're willing to approach people imo. Also the building for med is pretty and newly built a few years ago.
^ Nah I know people who live around Epping and got into UWS physio by bonus points. UWS is very generous with bonus points:) Just aim ~ 95 should be fine.
I applied thru EAS - max is 5 iirc but it's not guaranteed,it just depends on whether there are spaces left in your desired course. But ye, most uni's are pretty generous just depends on what course. E.g. my friend applied for engineering/commerce at unsw but got commerce/science instead - same...
Basically it's for people who want to do engineering but don't know what to specialise in yet. You get to choose electives of the fields that you're interested in and then after a year, you decide.
I think I did 3 speeches to give me more coverage if they specified a speech but 2 would be good. I think I also did 6 body paras but I added synthesis + comparison in the paragraphs too. Think of it more like 3 main body paragraphs just separated and halved which looks nicer on paper as well...
A website is a good medium to try - heaps of them out there. Once you find a good one, bs should be ez.
Imo wouldn't try a film if your trials are in 3 days.
