Should I do a poem as my related text for the AOS, mainly because I can't think of any other related text and I think doing a poem will be the easiest for a related text (and I don't think my prescribed text next term will be a set of poems)?
Could someone here please explain to me these nuclear equations and the difference between this and a chemical equation
I'm kinda confused
Thanks

Here it says
A cyclotron (a particle accelerator) – atoms are bombarded with a charged particle to render them neutron-deficient
small charged atomic particles are accelerated to very high speeds using electrical attraction and repulsion to hit a target of large atoms
elements with...
If your essay structure is like this:
Intro
Body 1 (where you synthesise two texts in one body paragraph with both relating to the same topic sentence)
Body 2 (where you synthesise two texts in another body paragraph with both relating to the same topic sentence)
Conclusion

Welcome to the HSC chemistry marathon :)
This thread is an open chain of questions between students. It works by answering a question then posting another question and allowing the cycle to repeat itself as this is used to test others!
Just some simple rules:
- Answer the question asked...
I never understood this concept of weaker students dragging down the higher students marks. Does this occur then they do the average of everyone's marks and then the lower the average, the lower everyone's elses marks are? Does this occur for internals or externals?
Thanks
HEre is a set of AOS discovery questions I have compiled
http://ecriture.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/AOS-Discovery_sample-essay-questions.pdf
1. ‘Discoveries may compel individuals to affirm, or challenge, their perspectives on themselves and the wider world.’ To what extent does this...
1. Calculate the average gravitational force exerted on a 62kg woman on the surface of the earth (2 marks)
2. On a remote planet, a person of mass 60kg weighs 60N
a)what is the acceleration due to gravity on that planet?
b)If the radius of that planet is 9000km, what is its mass?
I thought it'd be a great idea to make a HSC chem thread since there's a prelim chem thread. Same principle to the prelim chem thread (used for help and testing others)
I'll start off:
1. Decane (C10H22) can undergo catalytic cracking to form ethylene and octane. Write a balanced chemical...
Given that we already have a prelim help maths thread, I decided to create this thread for you to post your HSC maths questions (for 2U, MX1 and MX2). You can use this for help or test others :)
I'll start: The graphs shown are of y=tanx and y=secx respectively...
Could anyone here please give me tips and tricks on doing well in maths induction, I really suck at that and I find it quite annoying.
thanks in advance
So I heard extension 2 maths is all about thinking as opposed to extension 1 maths which is about "doing". Before "doing" in extension 2, you need to "think" first
Even though it's a bit early to ask this, how does one "think" in extension 2 maths?
I heard most of the time, students get...
Most of the time when I'm studying physics and chemistry, I'm rote learning most of the content (if not all) and I can't get into the habit of understanding something. Could someone please give me some advice on how to understand physics and chemistry (and when I mean understand I mean have it...
