Hiiiiii
So it came to my attention upon enrolment for semester 1 of 2017 that i am most likely required to take biology and chemistry for my 1st and maybe 2nd and 3rd years too for my degree.
I ended up choosing:
CHEM1001- Fundamentals of Chemistry 1A
BIOL1003- Human Biology
BIOL1007- From...
Do some units scale better than others and are more likely to boost your WAM?
I need to maintain a certain avg every year in my degree so i dont kicked out and dropped to Bachelor of Science but the USYD website also recommends i take these subjects to help with my major... and hence, i was...
Yeah i think so... Anyway i will call them again tomorrow to see how to change my units of study (there is no back option ffs), as well as this apparently 'embedded' psychology major. Thanks heaps! i hope we can keep in contact because you definitely seem like you know what you're doing and what...
not sure what u mean by second major, but there was no option to select no major, nor did it say that i was already doing a major in psychology... there was only the option to select a major...
Thanks for the info tho, i will definitely change the physics* into biology, thanks!
i was thinking of changing the physics into human biology as suggested:
"Planning for a Neuroscience major
Recommended: Human Biology BIOL1003/1903/1993, BIOL1007/1907/1997, Psychology (PSYC1002), junior chemistry and junior mathematics"
So being as clueless as i am, i have chosen a neuroscience major for the B of Psychology (honours) along with these junior electives/units of study... Any thoughts or recommendations? i made my selections based purely on what i thought was going to help me get through my studies and what...
Hi, I can seem to select a major in psychology so i went with a major in neuroscience... Anyway, im up to the units of study selection bit and there are a lot of different subjects i can selecting... do u have any tips or recommendations on what to take as units? ive called up USYD but they dont...
I am currently enrolling for Usyd's B of Psych (science stream) and it is asking me for a major and eventually units of study...
Any recommendations on what to pick and what basis i should be picking them on?
Is it what my strongest qualities are in science subjects, or to pick a major...
I dont want to sound like a bummer, but i feel like the students who care about education in each year 2015, 2016...etc is gradually decreasing and the general consensus about exams and exam thoughts depreciates alongside with it..
General preparation for half yearlies (based on what i did - i can neither confirm nor deny if this is effective and efficient studying):
Maths:
Asking previous year 12 students and looking back on Prelim and first term of Year 12 tests to see how the exams are usually structured. Some...
Personally, i dont think English 'textbooks' are useful for the HSC, specially when about 80% of your work is based on pure essay writing + reading the texts. Just read and clearly understand your texts, write up mock essays, edit, more edit, get some friends and teachers to do more editing...
If you are really struggling to find time to do studies this holiday, i have a few tips that i can share that helped me through the HSC holidays:
1. Revise, brush over, and solidify what you already know. This applies to syllabus dot points and all previous examined questions in tests. In...
Hiii!!! I want to do psychology at Usyd this year too! As for your question,i dont think there are prerequisites for any courses now, however if u feel like you are struggling, im sure you can take a bridging course for mathematics if u feel it is essential. Otherwise take the humanities stream...
^ i second this. i created 2 week cycles of 'to do tasks' such as homework/assignments and mainly past papers and stuck to it as best as i could. With the 2 week cycles, it gives you some room for give and take, in circumstances where something may pop up to disrupt your normal routine. Make...
