Last sem i didn't go to any of my lectures and I still did pretty well, I think personally I just learn better by reading the textbook.
I think you just have to be selective- if the lecturer is essentially reading off the slides or using the exact same examples from the textbook and you're...
I reckon if you've never done economics before its a but trippy at first to get your head around the rational thinking stuff.
But the textbook is well written, and the examples are pretty easy to understand. Peter Nichols (my lecturer last sem) does videos for the more difficult concepts which...

This is the way to go, just copy all the analysis you've done in the earlier sections, don't waste your time re-analysing.
If its compare and contrast belonging in two texts, just do 1 paragraph on each text, make links to the first text in your second paragraph etc.
Stick to the...
Seremify & i wrote a thing on this a few pages back (though I admit im biased towards cadetships)
BUT one thing thats important to add is that in some mid tier firms, I think youre working full time for the whole 4 years of your degree for 5 days a week, as opposed to only 2 years in a big 4...
In terms of the renumeration, there's minimal difference. But for the cadet grant/textbook allowance kpmg is significantly worse than the other 2! (Just did the maths, we're talking over 15k unless my maths sucks.)
Do you think there's anything wrong with publicly disclosing the figures?? I just dug up my pwc, kpmg and ey contracts from last year and there are some significant differences lol
I've mentioned this before I think, but if they haven't called you to give you an offer/rejection you're still in...
Ah, this must have just been last year then, or I remembered the wrong firm :/

Yep for everyone who was disappointed and didn't receive offers, everything in this post is extremely relevant!
Applying next year in first year uni doesn't give you any disadvantage, since most of the big 4 now...
This happened to my friend last year.
I think what happens is that the mid tier firms don't have the capacity to conduct many interviews, and of the few candidates they do consider, many of them receive numerous offers and have preference for the big 4.
Although I wouldn't put too much hope in...
At this stage i think the big 4 have done their thing, but the mid tiers are probably still going through the motions of recruiting.
But I think a few firms don't do their application process til September? Grant Thornton is one of those from memory.

84 wam, so close to an HD :/ but still pretty happy overall.
Is this for PwC? If so its for 9 months, so in terms of the cadet grant there's minimal difference between the 2 firms.
Also with regards to the flexibility thing, dont go by assumption or what you've heard, if its an important part of the deal, talk to both firms and ask them about it.
PwC all the wayyyyy.
This time last year I also had to choose between 3 firms, but at the end of the day I think my choice was more heavily influenced by whether I wanted to do fs audit or private clients, so I guess my decision was different in that sense.
I guess if its so similar for you, it...
You don't necessarily get to choose where you work, particularly if everyone wants to do their internships at the big 4.
I doubt it. I think graduate salaries are standardised across Chartered Accountant firms, or something along those lines. And the figures are nowhere near as high.
With some...
Is this for a mid tier? Its only been a few days, so there's still hope, good luck :)
Nice work, are you going to accept the offer? Or do you have other interviews lined up
I'm pretty sure at UNSW your offer is conditional of reaching the atar requirement, so probably not. But for UTS BAcc program they're less strict on the atar requirement.
Also a word of advice for people applying for the UNSW Coop. You have the option of putting up to 4 preferences for coop...
