Under the old law curriculum, you could not do courses under the course code LEGT. That has now been changed to TABL which has been approved for study under the new law curriculum.
OP I will agree with D94 about brushing up your research skills. Once you start uni, lecturers and tutors will...
From my experience of the ASB and Law faculty welcome it's just them saying Hi and introducing the dean. E.g "welcome to unsw. Blah blah blah. We wish you all the best with your study."
Occasionally they will have a guest speaker
NCV is located on Anzac Parade, just opposite UNSW. It is right next to a bus stop so it is very convenient to get to the city. It is also within walking distance to restaurants located on Anzac Parade.
As for the atmosphere I am not too sure sorry. I don't stay on campus.
I think everyone reads cases differently.
When I read a case, I read it the first time through without taking down any notes so that I get an idea of what is going on. I then take down notes according to the following format:
1. Material Facts
Material facts are facts that are "important" in...
If you want to get off at Anzac Parade then take 391, 393 or 395.
If you want to get off at high st then take the 895 (this is the fastest route to uni)
Yeap. The 5th edition was used last semester and it just came out. So I am certain it's the one you will need. Publishers are not that bothered to update annually haha
As for LAWS1502, I don't think it will change this year. Maybe next year.
ECON1203 you probably don't even need the textbook...
There is a chance that MGMT1001 might change. It changes every 2-3 years. The 2nd edition was released in about 2012 so if the 3rd edition hasn't been released yet it should be either this year or next year.
ACCT1501 just changed last year so it shouldn't change anytime soon. This is the 5th...
Colin is alright. He has quite a different sense of humour.
Com/Law at UNSW is great. I sort of chose the wrong major haha not really a fan of finance. Think I would have enjoyed either Accounting or HR more. It's all a matter of preference.
TBH there is no difference whether you do ECON1203...
TBH Legal Studies doesn't really help you at all. I did legal studies and had absolutely no advantage over anyone. You might pick up the first few concepts earlier than everyone else e.g. what is common law and statute law but other than that not really.
So don't worry! Just enjoy the break!
