Why not? It was $15, and I may get the chance to elect the opposition leader
Also: my respect for Jaymes Diaz has gone up leaps and bounds because of his appearance on the chaser
Whilst I'm disappointed that the minor parties getting up don't seem to have much in the way of policy..... Whatever we end up with will be what the Australian people voted for, and I think that has to be respected.
Though that doesn't preclude looking at reforming the system.
I agree with funkshen and Rafy. Having Rudd back briefly re-enforced for me what an awful leader he is. And if he had of had his chance in 2010 and he campaigned then like he did now I think he would have lost
Dewey defeats Truman
(but let's not let that get in the way of another chance to brainwash the Australian public, nice to see they're being so modest about it too)
Yeah sathius, you need to start going through your 5 stages, I have.
Now I'm just sitting back and waiting for the shit to hit the fan when they realize that sometimes it's better the devil you know. I'm especially looking forward to everybody trying to justify all the election promises that...
Re: Bennelong, I'm really disappointed in the choice we've had frankly. Alexander is hopeless, and maybe i live in the wrong part of the community (the part that isn't marginal) but he never seems to show up for anything. Whilst Jason Li has just sent me a flyer (gee thanks).
I really find this...
Abbot's comments on Syria are exactly why I don't want him anywhere near the leadership of this country. No matter whether you agree with military action or not or whether you think Assad is responsible or not, I just cannot fathom how anyone who has seen the pictures of the outcome of the...
Because that's totally what I said? Because im pretty sure i didnt. No doubt it had an impact, but Labor's central failing in this campaign IMHO is the failure to have a clear, consistent message. Instead it's been thought bubbles and selfies from Kevin.
So I see people still thinks the telegraph counts as a newspaper when it's becoming clearer and clearer they are a lobby group masquerading as a free press, and they wonder why the government might want to regulate?
And anybody who think that they only support one side just in editorial content...
Re: BER, no doubt there was some roots. But you have to consider the context, it was a program designed as economic stimulus, not as a carefully constructed plan to built infrastructure in schools. In order to get the money out there quickly there was bound to be some fat. You've got to consider...
Haha, mate, I think funkshen could beat you in a battle of wit and intelligence hands down, you clearly have no idea what communism is. If you were being generous you might have gotten away with labeling the labor party socialist, but that's about it
Well you should do, believing that the liberals are worse than labor and a whole lot of other parties is fine, but believing that they are the worst of the bunch is just plain silly
I don't know if my experience is that of everybody on BoS. But the reason I have lost support for the greens is that as a third party I feel their job is to moderate policies of the major parties, as well as fight for their own. I think they have repeatedly failed to compromise on policy areas...
