Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any additional essay and/or creative writing questions that they can share Relating to the New Syllabus?
Besides memorising quotes and themes etc., its becoming a bit of a struggle to study for English as:
The only New Syllabus Resources that we...
If you are cramming, and want to brush up on your Extension 1 content I highly suggest checking out a channel on YouTube named 'virtualb15' (his channel also contains Extension 2 theory as well, assuming you take it and need to brush up on that as well). You should note down any formulas, or...
I currently do Legal and I can say that the Year 11 content is a little boring, but if you decide to keep it, the content gets way more interesting - you get to do Crime, Human Rights and your cohort (at your school) gets to pick two options from stuff like Family Law, Consumer Law, World Order...
Maths Adv:
Past Papers!
Past Papers!
Past Papers!

Past Papers! (Ones from Sydney Grammar and Baulkham Hills are quite good)
Econ:
Read Notes (Eg. Aus in the Global Economy in the morning and Economic Issues at night)
Flashcards (You might be able to find some on quizlet or...
Considering that you still have like 3 exams left in Year 10 I would honestly just recommend understanding all of the year 10 content first, stuff life Algebra (Factorising Quadratics etc.) and Trig (Sine and Cosine Rules, Bearings etc.) often come up a lot in 2 Unit (Advanced Maths) and X1 so...
You're in the really early stages of Ext 1, I would recommend trying to follow something like what this guy did (apply it to Ext 1 obviously):

I second this. Its much more versatile than getting 8 or so books. The only subjects I would advise getting books for is Maths and Maths Extension. Write theory in your binder and homework/questions in your books - saves space and is a lot better.
Good Luck with Year 11.
This depends on how much time you have to decide. If your decision can take place by, lets say Term 2 next year - you will be able to make a more informed decision - trust me, (if you can) wait.
Yeah I mainly want to self study - a lot of the MX2 textbooks are confusing when it comes to explaining the theory. Thanks for your input.
P.S. Is there a PDF of it?
Has anyone used the newer version of the Fitzpatrick book? Not the trash 1990's version.
Here's the cover if you don't know what I'm talking about: http://www.pearson.com.au/products/D-G-Fitzpatrick-J-B-et-al/New-Senior-Mathematics-Extension-2/9781442566200?R=9781442566200
Just want to...
Statistics is a very useful skill - I agree, however I would argue that you shouldn't have to do 3 Unit Maths to get to something practical (Eg. I doubt someone begging to do practical maths will just go ahead and pick Extension for that) - unless 2 Unit has an easier watered down version of 3...
