Just wondering to those who are really good at maths, how can i improve problem solving? especially application questions. Your advice would be really helpful
calculus is easy once you get the hang of it, the hard bit is to interpret it properly. Thanks for the help guys! i managed to find it after coming back to it 10 mins ago (very annoyed seeing how easy it actually was). Still thankyou very muchhh :D
I am having trouble with a question in the maximization and minimization questions using calculus. It comes from Question 12 and 13 of year 11 Cambridge
Q 12) A window consisting of 6 equal rectangles
i) Let entire frame have h height and width y meters. If 12 meters of frame is available show...
Im kinda stuck on proving that the derivative of a function is always increasing or decreasing e.g. 2x^3-3x^2+5x+1 and [always increasing], -x^3+2x^2-5x+7 [always decreasing]. What is the proper way of concluding why its always positive/negative
4 Unit is basically the mathematics which really change all methods, thinking and techniques you ever would learn. You really have to be able to apply mathematical principals accounting all factors rather than just theoretically knowing maths formulas.
