yeah English (Advanced) doesnt scale that well but scales REALLY well in your UAI- your final mark that is.
As a rough guide (being conservative) 85% in English (Advanced) Scales to Band 6 (90).

If you are not sure whether or not to do it then DONT do it. If you are going to do it then you really and truly have to be 100% sure that its what YOU want to do. Its too challenging and too much work to do if you are absolutely certain that it is right for you.
I am also happy to transfer into Arts not Commerce/Arts and then if I maintain a credit/distinction avg transfer in 2011 but if I have a FAIL on my transcript from Semester 1 even tho I am being accessed 100% on ATAR/UAI equivilent then what?
