The contrast is really quite amusing. Those who did not title their stories are so certain that they will not lose marks or that no marks will be gained. Those who did title their story trying to convince themselves titling their story will get them a mark.
I titled my story just because I felt...
I know at my school the teachers were looking to "take" marks in the Trials. It was emphasised by our teachers that in the HSC they are looking to "give" marks.
I agree that the name means nothing. I have no interest in engineering at all! But I have heard on numerous occasions the quality of the UNSW engineering department. Correct me if I am wrong.. isn't it the top engineering faculty in Australia?
Seriously? The point was stressed by our teacher as a past marker that the 5 mark question should be approximately three pages. I ended up doing 6 and a half pages total in the end for section 1.
NB: I know they say quality not quantity, but if you are doing advanced it should be quality and...
I had prepared three piece of additional material and it wasn't hard to adapt to only use one. I was stoked to see this because I knew this would happen, those who had a prepared essay would struggled to adapt.
I thought the CSSA paper was much harder too. I did my exam reverse starting with the essay, creative writing then the reading task. I finished with about 2 minutes to go.
I wrote six pages on each section. Hoping for an overall mark of over 80%.

I have the same problem and concern. I have achieved 90% and over in all the school based assessments and achieved a rank of 1/18 but besides myself and another 2 students the rest of the class are hopeless. I am hoping to achieve mid 80's towards low 90's ATAR. Any comments?
I couldn't agree more. This is the path I have been undertaking in my economics study. I'm surprised by the variety of responses to the Reilly textbook, I feel that it addresses the syllabus points and has a great deal depth in each topic. I do own the excel book but as previously mentioned it...
I'm using this as one of my pieces of additional material too. I really like it and I don't know many other people that are using it as a source either.
