Hi guys, here's the question I don't know how to do:
Q. A particle is attached to the end of an elastic string; it is projected vertically downwards from the point O with velocity sqrt(22) m/s, and has acceleration (10-2x) m/s/s after it has traveled x metres.
Find it's greatest velocity, and...
Hi guys here's a question involving logistic growth that I can't do.
Q3 part a is what I am having problem with. In order to show that P = that expression, do I just sub it in dP/dt, and eventually I would get kP(1-RP)?
What would I have to write as a concluding statement etc? Can someone...
Q. A block of ice in the form of a CUBE has one edge 10cm long. It is melting so that its dimensions decrease at the rate of 1mm/s (the block always remains a cube).
At what rate is the DIAGONAL decreasing:
(a) initially? (when edgelength = 10cm)?
(b) when the edge is 5cm long??
My...
Hi guys, I'm having a bit of a problem with this question:
Q. A sphere is expanding so that its surface area is increasing at a rate of 0.04 cm^2 /second. Find the rate of increase of its volume at the instant when the radius is 10cm.
My solution: (please someone figure out where I went wrong)...
Hi guys need a bit of help on this question:
Q. Water is poured into an inverted cone at a rate of 10cm^3 /second. The radius of the cone is 5cm and its height is 10cm.
(i) At what rate is the level rising after 2 seconds?
(ii) At what rate is the level rising when the level is 8cm...
How good do you have to be at Ext2 to get 94?
If I get a tutor that got 94 in ext2, do you reckon he would be able to explain everything perfectly (let's assume that he/she is brilliant at English as well). So what is the limit of mathematical prowess that a person that got 94 in ext2 possesses?
Hi, I'm having a problem with the absolute last question, Q1, (c) FIND angle(ACB)
Here's the question:
Q1. (a) If p is real . -2 (<) p (<) 2, show that the roots of the equation are non-real complex numbers with modulus 1.
-----------------
This was already answered in the other thread, I...
If p is real and -2 (<) p (<) 2, show that the roots of the equation x^2 + px + 1 = 0 are non-real complex numbers with modulus 1.
Ok so here's what I did:
Using quadraticformula:
x= [-p +/- sqrt(p^2 - 4)]/2
But p^2-4 (<) 0 due the -2 < p < 2
So, x= [-p +/- i*sqrt(4-p^2)]/2
x = -p/2p +/-...

Hi guys,
For an English assignment, our current topic for our AOS is "Leadership", and for the assignment we were asked to find 5 texts reflecting the concept of leadership.
Currently i've chosen the 2008 film Valkyrie, however I cannot think of any other possible texts.
Can anyone suggest...
