Re: What ATAR are you aiming for and realistically, what do you think you will get?
The course I'm looking at seems to be climbing higher every couple of years.
I'd essentially need 90+ to get in (or a really good portfolio otherwise).
Realistically, If I busted my ass every day and...
Last night's episode was boring, some british guy and indian girl making cutlery and crockery. I couldn't finish it.
The other episode recently was really good, the One Laptop Per Child campaign, and how they were made was really interesting.
That and all of those lame new-breed comedy movies where they pretend things are outrageous.
Sex Drive
Knocked Up
I Love You, Man
Inglourious Basterds (SO BORING! Why did everyone like it?)
Achieve an ATAR of 90-95+
Get into ArtExpress
Create an excellent portfolio as insurance for any potentially lost ATAR points.
Study a Bachelor in Design Computing at USYD (approx. 90 ATAR)
Get hired.
Work for WETA/PIXAR in any CG or concept art role or Freelance.
Work myself up the chain and...
No art degree can ever show that you are good at art. You could have attended 5 art schools and Uni degrees and still not be able to draw or paint. The only time you would need such a resume in art is working for a company (which you could expect to be interviewed and have a portfolio with you)...

I urge anyone to finish the series.
It's on DVD now.

I'm actually far behind in bio notes. I'm actually writing notes for chapter 2 for the first time even when we should be at 3.5. I'm making good progress daily but I need that consistency in all of my subjects..
Get the fundamentals right first. The beginning lines should look right from the start, and no matter how much you render those imperfect lines it won't fix.
Once lines are done, block in basic shades. Get a feel for the tone of your drawing. Initially, limit yourself to shades of HB and B for...

I'm going to be doing my HSC next year and was wandering, those who got 90+ in their ATAR, did you begin studying excessively in the December/January holidays? and how much per day?
I'm developing a little...
