I wouldn't recommend going to the Economics one - they have the same presenter as the summer one and he wasn't so great.
Chemistry was good - I recommend going to that
Maths Ext - my problem was that the questions weren't really challenging at
the summer one, but i guess that could change...
I think its because people did worse in comparison in the verbal component. For example, I got 180 in the verbal which was 99.4% rank - indicating, the marks were lower overall in the verbal. I think they must scale both of the marks before they combine it to give you your final score
They will strongly 'persuade you', but ultimately if you really stand your ground, they probably won't be able to. Be warned though - its really difficult standing up against the combined pressure of your teachers and principal/deputy principals. Don't worry though, you have the be doing really...
I heard they were pretty good. But I don't know if its that wise joining so late, especially for maths (or even the science courses) if your school is considerably behind the point at which they are at. I recently joined a coaching centre and I can't keep up at all since they're finished the course.
I just got mine back today! My overall STAT score doesn't look that great though (Quantitative score let me down), but I guess the percentile is ok.
I can make it into pharmacy! (if get the 'ATAR' though)

Maths Ext 1 - 39/120
Maths Ext 2 - 22/80
Chemistry - 32/90
Economics - 29/50
I go to a top 5 school
Thanks in advance!!

But terms of trade will decline, CAD is getting worse, etc
No, it isn't necessary to go to a tuition centre. It is entirely possible to get a UAI of 100 working with your teachers at school and by yourslef without the extra help. However, tutoring often boosts people's marks because its a form of forced studying so you don't fall off track during the...
Yeah, they can actually do that.
What bugs me is that this year all the teachers have been giving us assessments exactly two weeks before, whereas in year 11 it was more like at least three weeks.
Unrelated to your question, but I'm considering going to prior. How much is it going to cost you? I tried looking at their website, but couldn't really understand their pricing
same, I found the summer program pretty unhelpful, although I would imagine that the july programs would be better seeing as you're only revising, not learning something new.
So no, I don't think I will be going
Are you under a lot of stress from your other subjects at the moment now?
If you are, and can't bring yourself to seriously attempt this task, drop it right away. If you are prepared to work for it, decide after you do the task and get your results back.
And don't look down on yourself to...
Just curious, but what's the big deal about medicine? i know so many people who want to do medicine and i've always wondered what was so attractive about this career path.
Why do so many people want to do it?
