I got told by our previous SSM that if you get a regularish supervision shift - ie I generally do thursdays - then you are expected to have one, and be wearing it once the backorder issues are cleared.
I only ordered one, and I figure if thats the only one I ever have, then thats cool.
Hate...
One of our supervisors has one but she will not wear it because it clashes with her hair.
I've only seen our STM, SSS and Deli Specialist in one. I noticed that both the SSS and Deli Specialist had vests over the top to 'disguise its fugliness' (direct quote from our SSS).
dear young casual kid,
if i ring you and ask you to do a shift tonight, and you agree, please come in. it would be appreciated.
love me and the other supervisor

Haha.
But on a slightly related note, tonight my SM said I had shown real improvement in his time (since March) and I don't stress as much! FUCK YES I'M AWESOME :p
(Mainly because my normally tough as nails supervisor who was doing tonight with me had fallen apart in the time between our 3IC...
I don't mean to :) I just got a little bit frustrated today about it.
And Harry's obsessed over the stock management side too - I don't really have a lot to do with that so I kind of don't care.
Its not even about being obsessed. Its about basic smokeshop etiquette (IMO).
1) You do not open cartons which will not wholly fit on the shelf.
2) If you do, bundle them up with an elastic band.
3) Don't open cartons of not so popular cigarettes (ie Alpine Finesse or something like that) and...
So much weird shit happened today.
When we closed the doors some woman got hit in the head with the door. Then when we told our STM he laughed.
2IC randomly decided that she didn't want to work Saturday - so I'm supervising on a saturday for the first time ever.
We discovered that we...
We're the opposite. This donut table is about 2 metres from the service desk, 5 metres from express, so this is routine conversations/arguments. The coke display is further away, you can still see whats going on in the service area, but the risk of being overheard is somewhat less.
Ever since...
I'd say that our current SM knows an awful lot. He's the first SM I've ever come across that has ever been a CSM. I respect his feedback and opinion a lot.
^ lol.
No, not everywhere in my store. The donut table and coke displays, I'm observing, represents a significant negotiation point between managers and supervisors. Everyone has lost the plot there. SSM's office - only happened once, twice if you include when I very first hurt my shoulder...
Okay, now I sound like a total bipolar person. Once a fortnight is what its like at the moment just because my CSM and 2IC and I aren't getting along super well. Also I'm sick of getting the same feedback from every manager that comes through (and trust me, we have a lot - new SSM and STM this...
I am the complete opposite of a hard bitch. Don't get me wrong, I still manage to put a lot of people offside (ie my SSO yesterday, which I kind of feel bad about), but you shouldn't move pass probation if you haven't seen me crying at the end of the service desk/in the SSM's office/at the coke...
