I applied for International Relations at ANU, so no need for other documents or interview. Just got my offer in the main round. (I got in via STAT, and I didn’t even have to send that to them, UAC automatically got my results)
Also, if there is anything else required it tells you on the UAC...
Generally that’s it (although as you know, courses like Art have extra requirements like an interview).
But yea, last year I did my UAC application in September and just waited.... all the way until January 21st when I got my offer (main round)..... It’s ridiculously long!
Yea, that answer is kinda useless as I already knew that and I wanted an answer from someone who has done an internal transfer, rather than the “official page” as it doesn’t answer things like, when you actually find out, is it at the end of the year in November or when the Uni opens again in...
Hey,
I’m currently in first year at ANU, but am thinking of transferring my degree to another one at ANU for next year. Both are at the same entry score level.
Just wondering, what are the chances of getting the transfer; will it just be a straight transfer as they are both at the same level...
I don’t have a UAI (moved between a few different countries so didn’t complete Year 11 and 12 in the one place).
All I did was sit the STAT test last year, I got straight into my first preference at ANU.
There are always options.
Every course is a CSP now.
When you enrol in Uni that is when you fill out the stuff for your FEE-HELP HECS loan, or you can pay it too. If you don’t make a payment by a certain date (usually a few weeks into the semester) it automatically puts you on the FEE-HELP HECS.
If you receive an offer for your first preference and keep it at your first preference then you will only received that offer.
If you receive an offer for a lower preference, you might get a later offer for a higher preference.
If you receive an offer for your first preference and you then...
ATAR is the new UAI, ATAR is Australia wide and UAI is no longer used.
It stands for, Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)
For more info:

I just sat the one day STAT test to get in by mature entry, so no need to do another Uni Prep course, but as the guy said above, for the course you want you might only need your portfolio and interview.
But could always sit the STAT as a back up. (STAT was a lot easier than I thought it would...
Yes, you can get several degrees on the FEE-HELP system, if you go onto the official website it tells you how much you can get in total, I think its $83,313 (more for medicine) and it goes up each year. So you are allowed to use up to that amount on higher education.
So for that amount you’d...
I agree with the above post. Study what you WANT to do.
DFAT don’t only look at Law and Commerce, one of my mates did a BA with a major is music and got straight into DFAT (graduate program).
Also my flat mate works as an APS 6, he did a degree in IT (his job is not IT related at all), His...
I did the STAT test last year so I could get into Uni (I had done school in Australia and overseas so didn’t have a UAI).
I’d recommend doing the 1 day course, and also doing both STAT tests (Multiple choice and the Written English one), while most Uni’s only need the Multiple choice, some also...
As one poster said above, you don’t actually finish Uni and get a job as a diplomat, you work your way up... most diplomats are in their 40’s and 50’s.
You will start at the bottom (usually a graduate program) which you will then spend years working your way up. And as someone else said, you...
At ANU there are people doing the exact same subjects, but some are in the “Bachelor of Arts (International Relations)” and some are in the “Bachelor of Arts majoring in International Relations”.
The only real difference is the entrance score (85 for BA(IR) and 75 for BA), also when they...
lol... Trains. That's funny.
There is one train station in Canberra (and that's not even in the city centre) It's the train out of here.
Canberra is tiny, but everything is close to ANU.
Trains, lol
