A fair bit of work that banks don't want to do, and also retained to get a second opinion, as well as checking things. Not particularly involved at structuring or client level in most instances.
if you do accounting you can learn about how businesses function etc. an awesome degree, get paid well and learn how businesses function.
need to aim to be one so i can learn the ropes to run my own major property development firm one day. even if that doesnt work i can always just be a big 4...
But it's probably the same 1000 applicants applying for everywhere. If all the big firms take around 40-50 people, that's a good 200.
So the chance of getting a big firm stint is around 20%. Add in the 2nd tier firms it probably goes up to 40%. Add in the small firms it's probably a good...
Pretty hard to make a valid opinion because who knows whether you're exaggerating or whether you've seriously done something silly to warrant being grounded (eg taking drugs, getting pregnant, getting arrested by cops).
If you think your father is emotionally abusing you then move out...

I guess a lot of it comes down to what you're willing to settle for too. Perhaps I'm setting the bar a bit...
Haha of course not. I rejected the offers from the top-tier firms and eschewed this path anyway. So just trying to help some kids, as well as validate my choices I guess.
But, comedy aside, what I said are really just the facts and figures. It's up to you what you make of them.
Nah I don't quite like the Melbourne Model. A lot of graduates in many industries now have comm/law degrees and they don't go into law. A law degree is just like this extra 'something' to make you more likely to be employed in the financial sector etc.
Btw I agree 100k is not poor. But I...
Yeaaa... I feel the small firm figures are a bit misleading since the upper bound is reached by few at small practices.
But I guess if you meant it looks pretty good compared to most factory workers, yea maybe.
