    400/500 Law Electives

Melsc, There is no way that you should be thinking that you are not ready for an elective unit. It seems that lower than ordinary marks are the norm from what I am hearing about this assignment. Perhaps it is the very nature of the assignments and assessments that are too blame. I dont...

    400/500 Law Electives

Yeah, Tabris, I know what you mean. It is a bit of a slap in the face considering how hard people work and everything. I find that law is a lot more subjective than my Business degree assessment wise. Hence probably why you never know how you are going!

Tranferring from Macquarie Commerce to UTS Business

Well it is really dependent upon the subjects that you have completed and there UTS equivalents. At worst, you will receive 24cp of electives (effectively one sub major)

    400/500 Law Electives

She isnt going to appeal, she has accepted the mark. She said she just needs 50%+ 1 mark to pass. She was telling me that the course is very different to the usual law course and she didnt think she was struggling but now she realises she must be doing something wrong. Pretty close to...

    400/500 Law Electives

I have 3 friends doing the course. They got 23, 21 and 19. How did you go (mark range.... I guess C or D) if you dont mind me asking They are blowing up over these marks considering they put a fair bit of effort into the assessment. It seems a very difficult subject. They say that it...

    400/500 Law Electives

I hear there are no lecture notes for this subject and WebCT is basically useless apart from i lecture. I have heard that many people are completely unhappy with the way that Int Law has been taught. I listened to the first lecture and I thought it would be a great subject full of...

    class participation

To clarify Huratio and RoadCone.... Correct. Dependent on the subject, you will get either (a) Class Participation (b) You must attend 80% of tutorials OR YOU FAIL! (c) A combination of A and B OR (d) No attendance or class participation requirements. If class participation...

    Fundamentals of Business Finance thread

I did International Business as my core option but since the requirments have changed from 2005, I might have to do Finance. Not looking forward to it!

    It's that time of semester...

The subject is Property and Equity in 1. The rationale behind the 100% exam is that the Dean of Law is promoting some new workload model for staff and his advice was that the best assessment format was the 100% exam.

    final exam in MPO

Samuraitor..... We cant tell you how to study for MPO. Study is based upon what works well for the individual. I just read the lecture notes. Emma Bowyer (lecturer when I was there) was very thorough with how the exam is broken up and what is included. Samuraitor.... just a final...

serious decision to make- drop a degree..

Just one more comment on this issue. You have performed a complete 360 in the process of a week. You have wanted this thread closed three times and then changed your mind. If I were you I would figure out exactly what you want to do. You have till the end of July really to decide. Think...

serious decision to make- drop a degree..

Learn from our mistakes. I am trying my best to rectify the changes ASAP but I am always a subject or so different. It makes it not harder but very awkward and sometimes with pre reqs it hurts not being able to do a subject because you missed another.

Final exam in accounting for business

Okay 75 MC but about 50% of those you can attempt with your eyes closed. We got a question that was: Who is the head of the RBA? 1) Ian MacFarlane 2) Tom Petrovsky 3) Paris Hilton 4) Willie Mason 5) Peter Costello

serious decision to make- drop a degree..

I think that is a very poor way of dividing your degree. You should follow the intended study program. It exists to help manage the study load in terms of hours at uni and the workload that needs to be completed. Doing 3:1 Business to IT (vice versa) is pretty silly in my opinion. I will...

serious decision to make- drop a degree..

Mate, if you dont want to do IT just drop out of it. Or even better just tell them when you put in an e request that you are considering dropping IT and would like to do 4 Business subjects. They will probably let you.

Final exam in accounting for business

In the last lecture, they tell you a breakdown of the exam and areas that are important.

    400/500 Law Electives

My decision to drop Int Law seems to be a good one. I really hate seeing lecturers ranting to students about the quality of assessments. I mean I read the question on WebCt before I dropped and it seemed like "the UN is fucked, we have no idea how to fix it..... you may as well try?"...

    Intellectual Property: Opinions?

But it would be too hard to have some common sense wouldnt it? I think if they arent going to provide good law electives that go beyond a few specialist areas of jurisprudence, corporate law and international law, they should be telling students that any law elective at another uni that would be...

    Intellectual Property: Opinions?

Hey MJ, I had forgotten that I had posted this haha. Thanks for the overview. Many people have said to me a similiar thing. Great content but yeah they didnt really love the way it was taught. So I am thinking I may only do this if I am really struggling to fill electives which is a big...
