Unlike most people who got better SC results than HSC results, i was a lazy *** in year 10. In SC I got: English - 72 Maths - 78 Science - 90 Geography - 63 History - 83

I got 48 and didn't get chosen, so probably at least 49/50.

My SC results are as follows: English - literacy 72 4 Mathematics 78 4 Science 90 6 Geography 67 3 History 83 5 My HSC results are in my sig. So the answer is no.

I didn't do any maths, and only did one low scaling science subject (biology). Even though my HSC marks were higher than most of my friends, a few of them did good scaling subjects (maths, physics, chem etc), and got a higher atar than me. So yeah, scaling sucks :(.

I think what you're teacher means is that you need to use the correct terminology as much as possible. For example, in Pompeii, instead of saying 'freed ' in your essay, 'libertinus' would be the more appropriate term. And also, try and avoid colloquial language. Instead of saying 'Von Moltke...

You're right on the dot. The dux in my school at the moment didn't get a single band 6 in his SC. Only band 4s and 5s and now hes acing every subject and getting in the high 80s, low 90s. Hell even i only got 1 band 6, and the rest band 4-5, (except geo, band 3) and I'm still doing decently!

Incorrect. You would get their mark for your MODERATED INTERNAL ASSESSMENT MARK. How do i know this? I read the uac scaling report :)

I believe it was Primers for A and DNA polymerase for B. What is Taq polymerase? It doesn't mention that in my biology in context txtbook.
