    Here are my ans... Damn. Some of them were fairly difficult i thought 1-d 2-d 3-b 4-b 5-c 6-c 7-a 8-d 9-b 10-d 11-d 12-a 13-a 14-c 15-a 16-d 17-b 18-a 19-a 20-a

Time Dilation EXPLAINED, read this before you argue in the other thread

see the thing is that the question was written with B being the intended answer... So like I think that B is the correct answer for the fact that you needed to view the frame of reference as the spaceship and not earth. I dont think people can claim otherwise (unless you get into all sorts...

Time Dilation EXPLAINED, read this before you argue in the other thread

Ok, I just got word from a friends physics tutor who is part of the marking center, and they dont start trying to figure out answers n stuff til monday, but anyway, this tutor said that there was a lot of debate about this question by a few head markers, and that there was a very likely chance...

Well that was a load of crap...

haha see i prefer the new course cos im shit at maths.... I will probably get no more than 40% in the 2 unit maths test, yet im going for hopefully (fingers crossed) a high band 6 in physics... It suits me for sure! lol But yeah. I do agree that there is a lot of shit in the physics...

What did you put (not what you think is right) for 5?

lol so true... When they put out the standards packages those graphs are going to be looking fairly nice!

What did you put (not what you think is right) for 5?

What did everyone put for question 5?? I just want a rought idea of how many people were tricked by this question.....

    Multiple Choice (Compiled Answers)

well the "majority of band 6 people" are wrong. There really shouldn't be many band 6 people who put B as they would have realised its invalid. Perhaps the only call is that those who had no idea of anything about the question would have put down D as a guess, whereas those people who put B...

Did Anyone Get Confused By The Wording Of The Time Dilation Question

Yeah. Its all got to do with the "frame of reference" The "frame of reference" in this case is the spaceship which needs to be seen as the Tv (time of the observer). To is the "real" time experienced within the "moving" body. In this case, because you are looking at it "from" the...

    graph for projectile...

Did everyone remember to put their independant variable on the horizontal axis? I.e. indpendant variable = velocity dependant variable = range Also, I dont know if we needed to put a scale on the graph because it said that we need only show the relationship. I think that as far as a...

Did Anyone Get Confused By The Wording Of The Time Dilation Question

See the thing is that they will DEFINATELY, without a doubt accept B as a correct answer... But the thing to put forward now is whether they may also accept D. I think that if the marking board can get a consensus that it should only be B based on the fact that it is the frame of reference...

    wat raw marks??

well see dont they mark the test harder or easier to get the test to a particular raw mark level? Like if the test is particularly easy they will be more fussy in their marking?

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

Yes, well hearing that now it makes sense, but not having the question in front of me, and having misread / not read it during the exam means that I have no memory of it! lol (hence I wasted my time bitching about it! haha)

    wat raw marks??

i would be hoping for 90+ raw mark...

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

Id say that even though the question had radius as being constant, its probably gonna be one of those "mark it easier or harder depending on how good or bad people do in the rest of the paper" questions.... Hmm so its probably something like: 1 mark - identify that mass increases as...

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

while your at it, how many marks was it worth?

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

Ohhh Did it really??? FUCK! If only we could have a copy of the exam afterwards. then perhaps I could know before I went to all that trouble of explaining this through a diagram!

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

Ok, so please, the following working explains the MV^2/r formula in application to this situation right? But to refine once more what im saying, using this formula relies on the concept of R being constant which I am saying we cannot be expected to know. Do you get me?

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

well see i disagree with the mv^2/r part. Like can someone clear up with me this one thing. People relate the mv^2/r part cos in the syncrotron the radius must be kept constant, and therefore due to the increasing mass, the force must change as per qvb?? Like this is the right relationship is...

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

Yeah, i appreciate that centripetal force is required to maintain a constant radius, but I dont believe that it is fair to expect non Q2Q students to know that this is required in a synchroton. As I said, non Q2Q students wouldn't know how a synchroton accelerator works so how the fuck are...

b.tchy question - syclotron or whatever

Hmm this question was interesting. See like this is my approach... The first formula I used was mass dilation and how as the velocity increases, the mass increases. This is the most important part of the question as far as I can see. If you didn't put that part in, I would doubt that you...
