If I have an 'evaluate effectiveness question,' will I be marked down for mentioning the same piece of legislation twice (in separate points)?

We have a legal studies question, where we are asked to evaluate the effectiveness of the legal system in ensuring compliance with laws surrounding the purchase of shelter. I have three points. In my first body paragraph, I've mentioned legislation #1. In my second body paragraph, legislation...

Help with Shelter essay - compliance with the legal system

You seem quite well-equipped when it comes to writing essays. May I ask, how many essays did you practice per week? I wanna start now so the HSC exam period is less stressful.

Help with Shelter essay - compliance with the legal system

Yeah, good point. The original question was evaluate the effectiveness of the legal system in ensuring compliance with laws surrounding the purchase and leasing of shelter, but since we have this test on Thursday and we've only just finished purchasing, our teacher removed the leasing part. Any...

How important is it to make notes?

Yeah. In year 11, I didn't make notes, and I most definitely could have done better. Having notes makes it so much easier to keep track of everything I've done, and, it also gives me the opportunity to rephrase what OTHER people have said, into words which make things easier to understand...

How does this quote from The Crucible relate to the human experience of 'hysteria,' as well as feelings of fear and supersition?

"I heard the other girls screaming, and you, your honour, you seemed to believe them… the whole world cried spirits, spirits, and I promise… I only thought I saw them but I did not." - Marry Warren.

'Critically analyse the the test from a design and experimental point of view' - what does that mean?

Hi there. We have an experiment where we have to launch a bottle rocket. At the moment, I'm in the last stage of the depth study, but I'm not entirely sure what this statement means. When they say design, what might that mean? Maybe how fins contribute to stability? What about for experimental...

How can I ensure that I don't forget important parts of the 2U course?

Alright, the title of this thread is ambiguous. Hear me out. One of my subjects is Legal Studies. The way I 'remember' stuff, is by taking notes, and putting them into a flashcard app. For Maths, I don't use flashcards. Instead, I apply what I've learnt in class to homework questions. Since...

I've chosen the film 'The Front' for my related text to The Crucible. Has anyone done the same?

Hi! We're effectively linking a text of our choice to The Crucible. I've chosen The Front, but my quotes list with a link to the prescribed text is quite basic so far. Did anyone happen to study these two texts? If so, please share a quote list you might have made :-).

How do you find the time to do practice exams?

My commute is about an hour to school per day via the train. I tend to get work done on my laptop though, but it's usually adding to my notes. My method of note taking (listen in class, plot down points after reading from the textbook, make flashcards out of key points) takes ages.

How do you find the time to do practice exams?

Yeah, good point. Did you ever do parts of practice exams at lunch or recess, or, did you just set some time aside when you got home?

How do you find the time to do practice exams?

For my last year, I'm trying to make a commitment to doing some practice exams before the revision period. With my content heavy subjects, along with a major, however, I am finding it very challenging to find the time. This is the general schedule that I run off to remain organised. I feel...

I'm starting to lose passion for English advanced - should I drop to standard?

Recently, I've had no drive to complete English work to a high standard. I don't DISLIKE the topics we cover, but I always come to class with a degree of uncertainty, and this underlying question: how do I actually STUDY for English? None of our teachers have outlined how the paper works, or...

Cambridge exercises: are they unnecessarily challenging?

I have a general question. My school currently uses the Maths in Focus textbooks - they're clear, easy to understand, and the homework questions aren't too difficult. I, temporarily, wanted to give the Cambridge Year 11 2U questions a go, and I found that they are quite challenging and vary in...
