There are a huge amount of people doing first year maths at unsw that havent done extension 1. UNSW will not force you to take a bridging course. Only do it if you think it will make you more comfortable. If you're capable at 2 unit maths (ie not failing it) then I think you'll be ok.

You'll be fine. If anything, year 11 physics is more relevant than year 12 to first year. Don't bother bridging, your math ext 1 and ext 2 will be more than enough. Mathematical background going into engineering is much, much more important than some general physics knowledge you get from the HSC.
