And I interpreted "unexpected detours", as a physical detour, as in having to take a different path.

I just wrote about obstacles... with random quotes. I couldn't really see how any of Skrzynecki's poems suited the question... except for "Leaving Home".

I picked the first one, and I think I went alright. I wrote 3-4 pages, which is what I usually write. And less and I would've been worried. :S

I rang up the HSC Advice Line, and they said it's up to you whether you give your creative writing piece a title or not, and that you won't be penalised for not doing it.

Haha, that was an interesting read. But the difference between Skrzynecki (whose poems I studied) and Gow, is that Gow appears to have a personality and can see how much torture he's putting HSC students through, haha. He also seems to have a sense of humour, whereas Skrzynecki appears to be...

Nah, not really. NS is what makes BoS BoS.

It's stupid/pointless threads like these that slow BoS down. I'm sure we've all said good luck to each other in other 07er threads, so why make this thread? Sorry if it seems a bit rude, but it's so painful when BoS is slow, it makes it impossible to actually look up notes, etc.
