    General Thoughts: Physics

Wasn't it 0.40 when you round it off?

    General Thoughts: Physics

Didn't you talk about anything else? Conservation laws are everything... you could say random stuff like neutron scatterring, particle accelerators, standing waves...

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Just to make it clear... you have to take this angle

    Section I - Multiple Choice

theta is the angle between the conductor and the flux lines, not the cross section of field lines so theta = 90

    That tower question

the question said "at the height of a geostationary sattelite"... isn't that 35800km?
  6. N

    That tower question

For tower B, it is undergoing orbital velocity due to the spin of earth on its axis
  7. N

    That tower question

It's exactly why all geostationary satellites must be above the equator... At the north pole there's nothing keeping them up there.
  8. N

    That tower question

Pretty sure it was Tower A: It fell right onto the north pole Tower B: It stayed at the point of release, acting as a geostationary satellite would. Explain a bit on why Tower A is not geostationary... should be 4. Too bad I'll be lucky to get one :O

    General Thoughts: Physics

Dafuq was that "Theories, criteria, validity" question. But at least Q&Q was relatively easy...

    Physics marathon (hsc)

So was there a definite answer on what we do/don't need for Electromagnetic/Superconductive trains?

    How would you describe rectifier/LEDs

    Physics marathon (hsc)

What are all of the different types of motor/generator we need to know? Also, what are their differences/simiarities?

    Physics marathon (hsc)

"Explain how the slingshot effect works with relation to the COE, and describe its implications on spaceflight." Kinda similar to the other one on Newton but how would you describe the effect in more detail?
  15. N

Can someone please explain the standard model of matter?

Weakons or W/Z Bosons? Do the markers care?

    Physics marathon (hsc)

Probably need a bit more depth... would that be photoelectric effect?

Predict My Internal Marks for Mathematics

I'm gonna guess around 93 for Ext 1, and 91 for Ext 2, although it all depends on your cohort. However, I was wondering how you predicted those externals? They seem a bit high from what I remember your marks as...

    2012 Solutions -- Terry Lee

Pretty sure you'll get 0... they can read for a BS answer and they'll give you 0 unless you were on the right track

    Q13

Re: Q13 Cii (0 Displacement question) Displacement is distance from origin, and the centre of motion is 5 units away from the origin, so 0 displacement=/=centre of motion

    Raw Marks

Also wondering, is 70/70 automatically 100? What happens with 69/70 then?
