not in any great detail :P but the three types are: 1. a typical slices question, ie. blah is rotated around the x-axis, use slices to calc volume 2. a typical shells question, ie. blah is rotated around the x-axis, use shells to calc volume 3. a slices question where they give you...

    exam on monday

housemouse, may i suggest you ask a tutor to explain volumes to you for 30 minutes. there is basically only 3 types of questions. know how to do those 3, and you're guaranteeing yourself a fair few marks since they usually stick 2 volumes questions in.

    Complex Numbers

Zeek, the first question you asked only makes sense in the context of the diagram. It is not something that is always true. It is only true for the vectors shown in the diagram (and a few other cases).

    Leading edge or Intuition???

I don't really think that what you said makes sense silentprayer. :P Many businesses in the service industry offer a variety of services without it detracting from their quality. Accounting firms are a large example offering advisory services, auditing services, corporate finance services...

City/Eastern Suburbs HSC Maths 2u/3u, Chem, Phy Tuition UAI 99.45 James Ruse ^^

I don't think that's expensive... :P If I was still doing private tutoring, I'd be asking $50. But $25 is definitely a good price for a good tutor. I can't comment on how Hunter tutors coz I wouldn't know, but he's a nice guy, so that counts for something :P Of course, Hunter doesn't...

Refer him to page 82 of the 4u Syllabus. For Induction it states: 8.2 Induction The student is able to: • carry out proofs by mathematical induction in which S(1), S(2)…S(k) are assumed to be true in order to prove S(k + 1) is true • use mathematical induction to prove results in...

    CSSA 2006 Trial

;d Most competent textbooks have such questions. Your post is a bit sensationalist though isn't it? If 4u Mathematics was as simple as buying a textbook, why isn't everyone getting 100? Moreover, why _are_ people spending $ on tutoring. ;d

    Pre-uni tutoring

I think you are somewhat confused as to how a tutoring college actually works. 1. Most colleges want their students to succeed and will endeavour to help them do so. One such way of determining whether or not the service you are offering is helpful is to determine how many people 'pass their...
