Yay! Heyyy!!! I was about to start a thread asking this too!! I'm doing KORE1000 this semester as well... I have no knowledge in any sort of Korean... I'm sort of scared that it might be too hard for me... (since I watched some Korean dramas and found the pronounciation awfully hard and...

    2008 student id's

Wait, so we can pick up our ID's? Even if we're starting our first year? Because it seem to me so far everyone's posted that they've picked up their ID's already are at least 2nd year (or they mentioned nothing about what year they're in)... So what's the deal with the first years? Thanks in...

how many hrs have u studied

I remember I did no work (or barely) through out the years (7-10), and did no studying what so ever before the SC... But that was quite bad for my studying habits in yrs 11+12... If the time were to rewind itself, I would have studied. Atleast that'd get me into shape for years 11 and 12.

    good advice for yr10 07

It can really differ from person to person. One of my friend who's barely just got a band 4 in her English SC, did advanced English, and at the end, she came top 10 out of the 150 or so people that's doing this course in our school. It's really just motivation.

    BA/BSci vs. BAS

    B. Art/B. Science and B. Arts and science What's the difference besides the length it takes to complete these degrees and the fact that BA/BSci is actually a double degree where as BAS is just one degree?

    UAI REALITY ChEcK!!!!

My original aim of a UAI of 90... dropped straight down to 85, then 80... then 75... and now I feel that a 70 seems like a miracle. T___T

    No more maths. :D

I'm hoping I can do maths again next year (b.commerce?!)...... because that'd mean I got into the course I really want to get in... but the UAI is impossible for me.... D:

    my hsc subjects

If you perform poorly in the high scaling subjects (like what I've already done in chemistry.....), it still does affect you lots. To get 95+, you just gotta... get all band 6's I guess, and if they're all the so called 'high scaling' subjects, it will also be suffice if you get them in high...

    tutoring and its benefits..

I went tutoring, both in groups and 1 on 1... Wasn't useful to me, quit, and... studied on my own. Is actually understanding more things studying on my own than getting a tutor... That's just me, like Kujah said, everyone's different... tutors just never worked for me...

anyone not going to schoolies '07

I'm not going schoolies. It's a complete waste of money IMO... I'd rather save them up and use them to go overseas after xmas and new years (lol, after the 'holiday high season' as well, so it's cheap. x])
