    Induction Involving Trigonometric Terms

thank u ssqlain(quite a few bosers from 06 r doing med)-in regards to the trig thing- most of them are variations of sumd to products and products to sum type q-u can try the 1972 3u hsc(It sounds ridiculous but u can get it from the bos resources i think) q 7 i think it was-in those days 3u had...

    Induction Involving Trigonometric Terms

try some of the 4u induction and look at the 3u paper from last year-it had one-but the trig ones are much easier than they may look-it's all a psychological thing.

    complex

that's insufficient(jdcb4) to prove that it's a square as like a square all the sides of a rhombus are equal and it's diagonals bisect each other. I won't provide the solution for this as these type of q u should be able to do by urself at this stage and u'll become too dependent. Have a go-try...

    Polynomial Help

Let the roots be a,b,c,d then a+b=0, a=-b and c+d=2(sum of roots) c=2-d and sum of roots three at a time is abc+acd+bcd+abd=-4 -a^2c+acd+bcd-a^2d=-4 -a^2(c+d) +cd(a+b)=-4 -a^2(2)=-4 so a=sqrt2 and b=-sqrt2 then u know x^2-2 is a factor, divide the polynomial by that and u get something...

    Studying...?

do the harder q from cambridge(really good if u do the extension ones) and Ruse and grammer trials(not all the q the ones relevant) and also do past hsc q. around 3 days of prep before the exam should be enough-mind u maths is a subject u shouldn't cram for-no matter how much u think u know-do q...

congrats to everyone so far-however in order to get an indication of how ur really going look at how ur school ranks for certain subjects-eg at my school a high rank in english and the humanities didn't and doesn't make much of a difference cos we are and were so hopeless at the subjects...

Important word definitions for 4u math.

Yeah, e to the power of x^2 and any other even polynomial satisfies the even function rule, for an even monic polynomial, leading coefficient one, all powers of x even numbers. There, I just flogged a dead horse.

    conics question.. from cambridge

Try it urself before u look at the solution but here it is anyway P93p,3/p) and the same for Q except the parameter is q when we find the equation of the tangetns at P and Q we get R as the intersection point with R(6pq/p+q, 6/p+q) also the equation of PQ chord is x+pqy=3(p+q) and the point 6,2...

If you are in year 11, read this first.

NO(*the way russell peters says it*). If u learn it in a superficial manner u'll forget it-otherwise u should remember at least 90% of it if not 100

I agree with affinity said, teachers didn't really do much, i mean they give good resources and all but the textboook with its examples is enough-i dunno that was the case at my school-some of my friends and myself stopped attending 4u classes after the first 2 weeks cos we lived so far-i had to...
