    Trig Function help!

Can't you just split it in half and use right angle trig to find x/2, then times that by 2 to get answer?

    ATAR Estimate

Yeah I definitely agree. 87? Wow. That's good! Do marks matter at the end of the day or are ranks more important?

    Locus and the parabola

Nevermind, I actually figure out that you need to do x^2=8(y-2) since it's y intercept is 2.

    Locus and the parabola

A parabola has a focus at (0, 4) and its vertex is at (0, 2). Find the equation of the parabola. I graphed the focus and vertex, and since the vertex is the midpoint between the focus and directrix we can say the directrix is at y=0. So we can say the focal length is 2, a=2. Then we can sub...

    Mathematics is killing me!

Initial introduction to 2U concepts can be confronting, but with continued practice you can become better. :)

    Trigonometric graphs

My bad, no amplitude on tan. :) I still don't understand that :(

    Trigonometric graphs

Alright, well I somehow got the answer. I have another question though, y=tan3x for 0 <= x <= 2pi. So, the amplitude is 1, and period is pi/3. Now in the answers, they have an asymptote pi/6, but how am I supposed to know that?

    Trigonometric graphs

    Sorry, I typed the question wrong, it's actually for 0 \le x \le \pi

    Trigonometric graphs

Hello, I'm just wondering if I can get some assistance sketching some trigonometric graphs. I've been able to do the earlier ones, but when the question changes the period I have trouble. e.g: y = 2cos4x \quad for \quad 0 \le x \le 2\pi So we know the amplitude is 2, so is the period 4pi/2? I...
