    Clicle Geo Q Debate

Hey all in my half yearly there was a circle geo question which i just wanted to ask about. Angles in the same segment of a circle are equal, true? Well if that is true, then assuming i have the diagram below: Can i say that ABCD is a cyclic quad, because the angles shaded in black are =??

    What's the derivative of 3^x

    If you dont understand the above way this might help. using y = a^x x = log a y (a base) so in this question let y = 3^x x = log 3 y (3 is the base) change base to e as you are going to need to dy/dx later on. x = lny / ln3 lny = x.ln3 Therefor using x = log a y (a base) y = a^x...

    help help integration =D

Both good answers, and im not trying to take over this thread, but a question i have been meaning to ask is how do u know when u can use substitution and not. In the first method to integrate cos^3x substitution was used, it gives the correct answer. What im getting around too is why cant u...

    Inequalities

Ok so if i had the equation y = 3x + 5 i can square both sides and keep the eqn =. But with inequalities u cant do that, is that correct :) So if i had Sqrt(x) < 2, i cant square both sides to get x < 4? Thanks for the help guys!

    Inequalities

Hey all, just something i dont understand. Take 1/(x-2) <= 3 for example. Now as we dont know if the denominator on the LHS is <0 we need to multiply by (x-2)^2 on all sides. Thats fine i understand this. I was stuffing around the other night and i made a stupid mistake, i squared...
