    Free Periods Good or bad

yeah, probably cos you are in year 11. I get 8 a fortnight and sometimes they can be pretty damn pointless. Gotta escape the people who have frees with you all the time and distract you.

Blade Runner context: Transnational Organisations or Multinational Coorporations?

Must be my teacher's pedantry then... He specifically stressed that we use the 'correct' terminology. Just realised, it's the other way around - transnational coorporations and multinational organisations. Going with TNC.

Blade Runner context: Transnational Organisations or Multinational Coorporations?

Transnational Organisations or Multinational Coorporations? Apparently both terms mean the same thing, but one is from the 70s and the other is more recent. Which one is correct, in terms of the context of Blade Runner? ie. which one is the 70s term?

    CONTEXT of BladeRunner

My teacher said anything relevant from the late 70s all the way up to 1992 should be good.

    15 units, What subject/s should i drop?

Mm since you enjoy all of those subjects, I'd think about their relative scaling... And definitely one of your sciences. I'd drop bio and modern history.

Do people exaggerate the difficulty of the HSC?

The word "harder" is controversial. It's only because there are less people who get a band six in standard in english compared to advanced. I guess you could interpret that as a level of difficulty but it's more because of the quality of candidature. Smarter kids choose advanced over standard.

    2010 HSC dates?

Yep, I knew about the timetable in general, but I meant students as individuals. Ah, I see.. Thanks to both!

    2010 HSC dates?

Is it normal to have at least ONE overlap? Like more than one exam on one day.

Keeping motivated, aiming for ATAR 95+

I read through the entire thread, but couldn't find anything that motivating until.... that vision of myself typing in my username and password and clicking on 'login'. I want to visit the future. If I saw how I turned out if I kept going like this (doing <1h study each day) ie. failed to...

Is it possible for somebody with a really low IQ like 110, to achieve a 99+ atar?

OMG HAHA to the above post with that quote from wikipedia, I totally agree. I have a couple of friends who have 150+ IQ. They are pretty arrogant and always talk to people like they're better than them. One of them also doesn't give a crap about school - and ended up with pretty shit...

Who is ready for yr 11?

Fat ex. books failed for me :cold: Bulky, hard to carry... I switched to 96/128pg books after my first maths book - 250pg. And having separate books for 2U and 3U gets annoying. Many times, I brought the wrong book on the wrong day and in the end it all got messy having to transfer notes and...

Do HSC sciences need more maths?

Holy shit == That's gonna be my second assessment.... I said no, we don't need more maths in our sciences. I agree with that statement about the essential scientific concepts being more accessible without advanced maths. The current balance in my opinion is pretty good - keeping the key...

How will you organize your stuff?

Wow. Highlighters. Big deal... I hate how they seep through my exercise book and bleed the ink on the other side of the page. For organising, I used a display folder system for every subject (did six btw) that kinda died throughout first term and eventually all my sheets got kept in random...

Re: What are you planning to do after the HSC? Eat out every week. READ. Learn to make origami. And I wouldn't mind the movie marathon either.
