Im not too clear on why AC was chosen to transmit electricity trough power lines instead of DC. I know that AC alternates back and forth 50 times a sec but wont that alternation cause greater power loss than if it just travel direct (DC) ?? Any one know why ?

I Hate chemistry so very very very very very much. Not coz i dont understand it. But coz its boring, its pointless and the worst of all its not one of those subjects that u can cram overnight and get a descent mark in the exam the next day. But i think im gonna do alright :D

yep i did the same thing as wogboy for Q 1, actually 425 does sound right, so when the plane does half a loop it will be aprox 1 km diameter, The reason i thought this is wrong is coz usually a plane can only hack up to 10 - 12 g after that it breaks into pieces. So yeah 425 is right.
