If you finish an accelerated subject in Yuar 10 you can still do Distinction Courses. Quite a few people in my grade do Cosmo/Philo.

If you're not sick enough to not come to school, you're not sick enough to not do the assessment or get extra consideration for it. That's my school's policy. Sit at home and get a doctor's note and take it the day you get back. Safest way.

Schools don't scale. Subject marks scale. Also, I go to a public school, and they mark pretty damn hard.

I'd rather have morning classes. Go to school early and bask in the extra frees after. I had committments so I couldn't join my schools offline english Ext1 class =(. The morning classes would have left me with so many frees, like a free every day, and lots of double frees at the end of the day...

I picked Modern over Physics and I don't regret it. I was garbage at Year 10 Physics as well, I hate it and the only thing I could stomach was Electricity. Motion was terrible, Light was terrible, the rest was terrible. Go Modern. But that's just my opinion. Also if you'r expecting a mid 80s HSC...

WHAT ONLY 12 weeks for a semester? I was under the impression they were 15-18 weeks at least. 12 weeks is fucking awesome. 16 less weeks of study. That's more holidays that work time. But then again, the amount of work you get in Uni probably doubles HSC, so it probably evens out.

If it rains I finish at 12 on Wednesdays. Otherwise 2:30. Except, I don't do any work after 12 on Wednesday. Just sport.

I ace free periods but I hate them.

I don't really care. It doesn't amtter either way. All I know is if it's bad, I'll get a 2 hour lecture on the intricacies and shittiness of it. If it's good it will barely be acknowledged then chucked into the filing cabinet.
