    You got the -3 and 2 part. You gotta remember that a+1 is the other root for each case. I.e. Sum of roots = -3+(-3+1) and sum of roots = 2+(2+1)

    More alkaline as the reduction of water gives hydrogen gas and hydroxide ions. Pretty sure that's what happens because you see bubbles

    That's using the fact that every mole of citirc will produce 3 moles of hydronium ions, which doesn't happen

    Markers are smart enough to follow someone's reasoning regardless on how they express it (assuming the reasoning makes sense). If not then what the fuck they should be

    Spiralflex is pointing out that the question didn't give the bounds and that you found the bounds with the given answer and hence was able to post the solution OR you've done it before
