Situations in which teachers make themselves look like retards

lol. I had a new teacher in year 12 bragging about how he only made the cutoff (mid to low 80s) to get into teaching by less than half a mark. What a dickhead. And he did suck at teaching.

People at uni doesn't seem really smart

I always thought uni would have lots of really smart people. People who could answer every question from a lecturer and dedicate heaps of time towards study to get epic marks. Sure, this might happen in some courses but I thought there would be at least a few people in courses of lower...

Situations in which teachers make themselves look like retards

Tell me your stories. I once had a teacher who used white board markers that could be refilled by placing them into little tubs. Pretty much the tub sits on the table and you put the marker tip-side down into the tub so it can restore the ink into the pen. A student once asked her if the tubs...

Can anyone help me understand how Parity Bit Check works?

That doesn't make any sense. Why would it always add 0 if it can have an even number of 1s? And stop referring to code as "he". You're saying that the computer might not know how to add? That's not possible. Ignoring the idea that computers forget how to make simple calculations, parity bit...

    Exercise books or notebooks?

I write on loose pages and compile them in a folder. For ma IT peeps, this is similar to using a list over an array.

When are we suppose to buy textbooks?

Wait until at least a few weeks into session to see if they actually reference the textbook or you think you'll need it for study. I bought a maths textbook for $130 last sem because some cunty from the publisher gave a speech about how it was mandatory. I never used it.

What do you expect? The demographic of BoS isn't going to be familiar with employment patterns of the HR industry. Even posting on the jobs section of whirlpool would be better.

Ever stared at a person working at subway for 1 hour? It's exactly like that. The lecturer just keeps making sandwiches.

Doing units of study from other faculties? Possible?

Did I say you would be paying different? Most subjects at my uni are around $1000 each.

Doing units of study from other faculties? Possible?

I guess you could do them if they really interest you. Just be aware that you will be paying $1000s for them and they won't be relevant to your career at all.

    Walking INTO lectures...

I also used to visit my sister so she could let me explore her anatomy. I'm not sure what is has to do with uni though.

    Walking out of lectures...

You can only do it if you start moaning just before you get up, and progress to really loud moaning by the time you are walking outside the door. It is considered impolite to leave without causing a disruption because it means if you walk out without anyone noticing, it is symbolic that you are...
