Should the government nationalize food and issue us with GOVERNMENT MEALS?

Laugh as much as you want, but he does have that freedom and who are you or anyone to take that away from him?

Which Western Taboos do you agree with?

My comment was made in refernce to previous posters presenting a show of support for acts such as beastality and necrophilia, which I find to be most perverse and sickening. I italicised nudity, showing that I find it somewhat wrong and not morally wrong. I don't think it has a place in...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Simply because a selection of misguided people turn to a sinful lifestyle and are being increasingly accepted by society provides no justification as to why morally sensible people should turn to accept their choices, or let alone support them. Furthermore, this is a moral arguement and as...

Which Western Taboos do you agree with?

You have got to be joking. I fear for my generation and the future of society. :( Excuse me for possessing a basic sense of morality. 1. Prostitution 2. Adultery 3. Illegal drugs 4. Incest 5. Bestiality 6. Pornography 7. Child Pornography 8. Eating dogs 9. Eating horses 10...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Simply not having children isn't a sin in itself per se. If a couple is biologically unable to conceive children, then I can't think of how this would be sinful at all. If they choose not to have children through however, for a frivolous reason, to spend more money on their "lifestyle" for...

    Yr11 Study Plan

Lol, you can just flick through them at the bookshop and make your own opinion as to what books you'd prefer. Also, a good 3 Unit book (I'm assuming for Maths?) for year 11 would depend on your skill level. Accelerated Math Learning 3 Unit is good as a teach-yourself guide, however doesn't...

How will you organize your stuff?

Wow that looks really cool haha, though, despite its novelty factor, I doubt whether at the end of the day, it would actually help learning/note-taking in class.

Should the government nationalize food and issue us with GOVERNMENT MEALS?

I fail to see what is wrong or immoral with a person or corporation, in possession of a legitimate commodity, such as food products, exercising their right to distribute and sell said commodity to consumers, for profit.

Should the government nationalize food and issue us with GOVERNMENT MEALS?

Its well known that people from poorer socioeconomic "classes" are more likely to be unhealthy as a result of a poor diet. It is debatable however as to how much this is responsible to fast food specifically, instead of simply having a poorer diet overall. e.g. Eating less fish/meat products...

Should the government nationalize food and issue us with GOVERNMENT MEALS?

+ 1 to Ilikebeef. In addition to all the points raised above, and despite how ridiculous it sounds, people have the right to choose an unhealthy lifestyle for whatever reason (out of convenience, laziness or just because its cheaper etc). The government should have no say in how people life or...

    Yr11 Study Plan

I know its a bit off topic, but I find Excel books to be horrible for every subject except for maths and I'd recommend against them. Chemistry I'd recommend either Conquering Chemistry (1st choice) or Chemistry Contexts. For Biology, I like Heinemann, its one of the prettiest textbooks I've...

    Yr 11 Electives Advice please....

Honestly dude, you have answered your own question. If you have no interest in a subject there is no reason why you should choose it. You'd be much better to choose business if you have a passion for it as you will be more likely to put in the hard yards which you need to do well in the HSC...

    Roll Call Prelim 2010

I think the latest day to apply for distinction courses was sometime in November. It's a shame, I wanted to do one as well, but never got around to lodging an application. This is the official website: Distinction Course Program - Home Hope I helped :)

Who here has got a tutor????

Does anyone find they can bring themselves to do extra work themselves, without a tutor? I've bought a few extra textbooks and work through them when I can. I ask teachers at school and friends in higher years explain stuff that I don't understand. I did tutoring for a brief stint early in high...

    Holidays

If you're just sitting at home doing nothing, you may as well start studying, rather than wasting time by playing computer games or w/e. Year 11 half-yearlies (some for us count as much as 20% of yearly mark) are week 8 first term for our school. Its sooner than most people realize, though...

Which career path would you like to pursue in the future?

I'd like to go into law, specifically criminal (seems way more interesting) where I would like to work as a barrister. Did work experience in a court and it was absolutely fantastic. Only problem is the 99.55 ATAR cut off for Sydney University is a bit, well, obscene.
