    Law Orientation Day

Ah well, I'm also turning up on the 19th. Second year though, transferring in. I think I know how everything works but it wouldn't hurt. :)

Travelling to sydney airport to work.

Hmm, there are a few routes that go through the airport. http://www.sydneybuses.info/uploads/file/pdfs/network-maps/southern-region-map.pdf http://www.sydneybuses.info/routes/RegionGuide_East_2011_map.pdf You're going to have to make some sacrifices I guess.

    Belonging Movies

Films are okay. Our teacher suggested this German Nazi youth film with all this homoerotic tension and whatnot. Pretty deep stuff. Or you could go do Mean Girls.

    Happy Forever Alone Day!

    Oh dear. :(

Is it true you can't have a concession card if you are working?

They won't care, seriously. Well, unless you go and admit it to them like that.

Travelling to sydney airport to work.

Someone I know that worked at the airport, they took a bus there. Unlike the trains, buses do come under your MyMulti ticket, and have no additional surcharge.

    Law worth doing?

You should only do it if you want to, if you don't have the passion/interest in the field then there's no real point in doing it. Only when you enjoy and apply yourself to what you do would you succeed in it, so you should just ask yourself if you actually have any interest in doing this. If...

Timetables UWS bachelor of business and commerce

Never been in one. This is purely speculation backed up by a logical train of thought. However, I can advise that I've personally experienced the "guinea pig" effect of having first classes.

    uws?

You only need to do the timetable for the semester you are about to begin, so Autumn only. 7 hours one day is a bit overkill. I kept my timetable to 3 days as it seemed balanced. Try to keep things as even as possible, the 7 hour block is bad because if you're sick and miss uni, you're screwed...

    uws?

Depends what course you guys are doing. Go here: http://handbook.uws.edu.au/hbook/course_search.aspx Type in your course, press the 'Commencing in 2011' if you're new and select your campus of choice. For example, Bachelor of Business and Commerce / Bachelor of Laws -...

Timetables UWS bachelor of business and commerce

In my personal experience, yes. But it's the actual tutor. Most of the time it isn't listed for the BBC units, only Law ones state who's actually running it. Although, say if you took the 9:00AM tutorial on a Monday, that would definitely be the first (duh).

    what's law like at uws?

Here's a complete list. http://www.uws.edu.au/international/exchange_programs/student_exchange/partner_universities I'm not personally familiar with exchanges myself but I know people who are doing it so it's quite an reachable goal, if you wanted to do that.

Haha, nah I'm not. But he does have an account on here. It's in February, yeah.

    what's law like at uws?

^ Yeah, that. Although if you were averaging around a Distinction, and had experience in law firms, wide experience in sport/societies, did volunteer work, etc, then you'd have the edge in comparison with people from the prestigious universities who are averaging a Pass, with none of the other...

    uws?

Parramatta has grass. You might find cars parked on it though. Actually maybe not this year, they made everyone buy the $250ish Blue permit to park on the (main) South campus. The lawns are often neglected by the average UWS student so you shouldn't have a problem finding somewhere...

FML my sem 1 2011 timetable is a piece of shit thread

I'm confused. I've just accepted my offer to Macquarie and am going into 2nd year, but does that mean you guys have already picked out your units/class sessions already? If so then I'm going to get super shit class times! :( I don't even know what units I'm going to do because I haven't...

    Belonging Question About Songs

Seeing as it's English, I would recommended that you stick to any Belonging aspects at face value - so, from the lyrics/words ONLY. You can approach it as if it's a poem. The song itself may not be familiar to the marker so it would be difficult to demonstrate how certain aural aspects convey a...

    Transferring courses, and then universities...?

UWS Commerce to UWS Commerce/Law to USYD Commerce/Law? Hm, that's quite an ask. Realistically I don't think this is possible, not the USYD step anyway, unless you had like a WAM of like 100, haha. Since they look at both you ATAR and GPA/WAM, it's much harder given the fact that your ATAR would...

    law camp

I was there last year too. Totally worth it. It's in Tahmoor, which is a bit south of Sydney. Law Trivia during the night was epic! Try and make an effort to dress up too if they still have that going on haha. You pay through iPay on the UWS site, but yeah, as above, everything should be...

    what's law like at uws?

UWS doesn't offer International Studies/Law. The closest thing would be Arts. And yeah, I do have to agree Law at UWS is pretty good. You'll end up with a comprehensive and well planned learning experience. The majority of lecturers have been at a variety of other institutions and are...
