    After trials...?

LOL I finished trials now, last exam on Monday. I don't feel happy or excited and no more party plan anymore. :( Time to commence the 'Study-my ass-off-until-October' plan.

What does a Band 3 in english Advanced mean?

    Getting a Band 3 means.. you really need to study your ass off. Correct me if I'm wrong but the system is like: Band 6 = 90 - 100 Band 5 = 80 - 90 Band 4 = 70 - 80 Band 3 = 60 - 70 Band 2 = 50 - 60 Band 1 = * < 50

    PAL College Cabramatta INSIGHT?

Different perspectives are worthy if they hold truth, not some random BS you just heard or made up yourself. I really don't see you being in a position to be judging the school, since you don't seem to know anything about what goes on around here, period. Look, again, ultimately it depends on...

    2009 Trial HSC Exams Discussion

We do CSSA too, and it's not hard to mark 4 exam papers considering that's how many there are in the class.

Just got inivitation for UNSW business studies competition presentation ceremony

Just go, it'll be fun to have a night out somewhere you got invited to go to. :) There will probably be food and refreshments too. :haha:

    r uai atar calculators true?

They're only an indication throughout all your assessments. How do you know you won't stuff up your HSC unluckily? That's like saying that you know how to do something one day and be adamant that you can replicate it the next.

    backstabbing so called friends

LOL. I never like being backstabbed, and it's happened so many times! :( It's worse how I have to put up with the person, because we still treat each other nice and shit. All the niceness applies still - its not a full blown hating fest. LOL @ YOUTUBE. ONE OF THE PEOPLE'S NAMES IS THE...

    r uai atar calculators true?

They can approximate your ATAR by looking at scaling and stuff from prior years, so it should give a general indication, by no means an exact representation of what you will get.

Changing schools and/or applying for another school in YR 12

LOL. But I'd like to point out its not all bad. I'm friends with alot of people now - quite content really. But I don't know, perhaps the only downside is that the notion of a best friend doesn't exist with me anymore. :haha: It just takes time to grow and develop. :)

    School Captain/ Vice Captain/ Prefects

Have a funny speech and be nice to people I suppose. It helps if you're seen around doing a lot of things - but you should be really doing stuff because you want to. :haha: Like others have said, you need to earn respect and should show enough effort to deserving of such a privileged...

    Year 12 Selective High Schools...

Arrrghh, I've been there - in your situation that is. When I moved Term 3, Year 11, the new school was way ahead of where I was at my old school. So, catching up was a bitch.

Changing schools and/or applying for another school in YR 12

Yeah, I agree with the social ineptness. I moved in Year 11, Term 3. People from my old school don't talk to me anymore, period. LOL. Practically strangers to me now. It was hard for me to make friends for about a month or so as well. It's hard to "get into" a group where people have known...

Stay at local, partially selective school or apply for better fully selective school?

Re: Stay at local, partially selective school or apply for better fully selective sch You should go to a school in the city, everyone will be like "Whoaa!" And plus, so many fun things to do after school. :haha: Oh, and study of course. Just keep in mind that if you want to move, MOVE...

Hm, I think someone I know at your school didn't get to be a prefect and turned emo about it - was really cut.

What two prescribed texts are you using for Crime Fiction?

I'm picking The Skull Beneath the Skin and Rear Window. I can much better contemporary texts than Anil's Ghost through my supplementary texts. The other one of my supplementary texts is a Cosy Golden Age text, considering the fact that I'd need an original one to contrast with the contextual...

Are there English Advanced students who do not enjoy English?

There are definitely students out there who dislike it, but I'm not one of them. :haha: Clearly, if you're not doing so well mark wise, it may be because of your disinterest in the work. One case is a person that I know who hasn't turned up to the majority of their assessments and it on a...

would you let someone borrow your book?

Naw, I wouldn't. Last time I did it was apparently torrential raining and the book became a warped, peeling mess. AND they didn't pay for a new one, or apologise. RIP Deltora Quest. :(

You get to take a robot baby home as an assessment task! That's all I remember from the faculty presentation at the end of Year 10. :haha:
