They're only an indication throughout all your assessments. How do you know you won't stuff up your HSC unluckily? That's like saying that you know how to do something one day and be adamant that you can replicate it the next.

They can approximate your ATAR by looking at scaling and stuff from prior years, so it should give a general indication, by no means an exact representation of what you will get.

Arrrghh, I've been there - in your situation that is. When I moved Term 3, Year 11, the new school was way ahead of where I was at my old school. So, catching up was a bitch.
