how hard is to get a 70 average in a sci degree?

Hey, I'm basically following your posts around, (check your pm!). Otherwise, out of interest, how do you go about applying for NZ (I'm assuming you're going for Otago)? i.e Whats the name of the UAC equivalent/website and do you have to submit anything directly to the Uni? Also from what...

anyone got rejected/accepted for med science??

Wow was that application for interview just for medscience? Does it apply to other health science courses with interviews such as dent? EDIT: Ok this doesn't seem to apply for dent. Nothing specifically was said about it, whereas under the medscience section, there was a specfic line saying...

Sorry for a double post, but I've decided to take you up on this deal ;) So whats the interview like? i.e. How long, is it just an interview or does it also include a 'manual dexterity test'??? And I've heard there are a few scenario based/hypothetical questions for med, is this the same for...

phew I got an interview offer. I thought it would be uber-competitive. I don't know anyone else with dent offers, but if this helps, the lowest score I know is a guy that got an offer for med with a UMAT score of 171 (but i only know 3). But thats a very decent score as is. From my...

    Med at Adelaide

This might possibly be in the wrong thread, but is the Dent interview also very similar to Medicine? And for those that have visited Adelaide, whats it like? I'll be going down there sometime later in the year to check it out, but all I can gather is that its a rather organised place but with...

Griffith University - calling all students

Awesome thanks for the info. But maybe I should stop choosing on location and go by which Uni offers the better course. In the end that will probably be the decisive factor. But of course the location will be the icing on the cake. But right now, I'm more inclined to UQ, even though you guys put...

    Offering my Engineering Services

Wow thanks for the offer of service. I'll definetly have some questions right up to the 8th Nov which is the HSC Engineering test, but not right now (I haven't started studying yet :P) However most of my questions will have to do with strange material things, because theres not a great deal...

Griffith University - calling all students

well basically what I'm trying to get at is deciding between UQ and Griffith (GC Campus), purely in terms of their locations/facilities first. I'm an interstate student, so accomodation for me is also a big factor. I'll be heading over there sometime after the HSC to check it out, but I'm trying...

Griffith University - calling all students

katietheskatie - Can I ask what course you're doing? and which campus? Also, would you say the campus itself has enough clubs/facilities/societies etc...basically has it got the things that a bigger all in one uni would have>?

Griffith University - calling all students

Just on this topic, I'm guessing UQ also has the same course. If it does, can I ask if you've got other reasons on top of those for wanting to go to Griffith? I'm an interstate applicant, so for me its a decision between the 'older and more prestigious UQ' or the 'new and awesome' Griffith which...

    Need Help Urgent Plz

I'm guessing your trials are over now, how did they go? And if ever you find yourself in this situation for the HSC, i.e. One week to study for it, then I highly recommend getting a copy of Excel or Copeland Engineering Studies. These will give a very good general overview of the course to...

    Dent at UQ

if anyone recognises this, ive posted this in the Griffith Thread too Recently a very real decision came to me, what to put for first preference for Dentistry for QTAC - University of Queensland - Griffith University Looking at it from an interstate point of view, I'll have to move out...

    dent at griffith

Recently a very real decision came to me, what to put for first preference for Dentistry for QTAC - University of Queensland - Griffith University Looking at it from an interstate point of view, I'll have to move out anyway and they are about 1hour between each other so I'm not fussed...

    Optometry

HI does anyone know the number of people getting distinctions/credits/passes? Because I assuming the cohort is 60people for 2nd year onwards and its a pretty close group relative to other courses? That would probably give me a better indication of the difficulty of the course. and ps, can...

ways of studing for engineering studies

What other types of past papers are there besides the HSC ones? Does your teacher give out past trial papers? Because I would like to do as many as I can, but so far theres mostly -2001-2005 HSC's, -some select questions from HSC's before 2001, -Random questions from excel/copeland etc...

    past papers

Engineering was changed in 2001, so the papers before that aren't completely relevant to the coursework right now. The CSSA papers are protected by the organisation, and my teacher at least is hesistant about releasing them to students to take home, but he'll let us do them in class. What...

Ye I applied everywhere. My reasoning was pretty much if you're going to move interstate, you can't really be picky. Except UniMelb though, Chemistry is a prerequisite. I did that in Year11 and everyone bagged me for dropping it even though I was coming first. But I still don't regret it, I'm...

    Sub-Headings & Points In Answers?

This may not be helpful, but yes and no. Its because it depends on the type of question and the marks. For really long questions that ask for maybe 3 different things then yes it could be better, but for short questions with maybe 2 things then probably better off just writing a paragraph...
