how hard to get credit average

If you put in good effort you will expect to get Credit. If you just did enough than it will be a pass. If you put a lot of effort (detail) like in your writing, essays expect to get a Distincton. You basically get Credit anyway from within a range but to get higher means you have to reach a...

how hard to get credit average

The assessment system from school is not used at university. If you are putting a lot of effort into each assessment at university then you will expect to receive a high credit or Distinction. It's not hard if you apply yourself as you will be the only person doing it.

Waiting for Late Round? (post your course)

Most likely because there are no more places for Digital Media which is why it isn't listed. If this year's cutoff has risen from last year (compare the cutoff PDF's from UAC) then there was more demand for it this year.

    Transfer!

A person I know did Fine Arts at UNSW and successfully transferred to Fashion at UTS but you must do well at UNSW and it means getting high credit average or preferably, maintaining a Distinction. There aren't many places available for non recent school leavers. You won't be going directly into...

Waiting for Late Round? (post your course)

Surpisingly, I received a Late Round offer to study at UNSW and I would never thought I would. For the person who said about Digital Media, you were referring to a combined course which explains the high cut-off. Overall, this reflects that the universities have been able to have the capacity to...

Don't give me the crap that attendance counts!!

School was the best of times hey? You get to dodge school easily - i remember i didn't head to sport during the school week and just went to a mate's place that afternoon for a whole term. General overlook is school is school and your not going to get away with this at university. Sure you...

Which is the best uni for business/commerce/economics?

Re: which uni for the best for business and commerce? Why don't you re-write your question and ask yourself, which university can provide me with the environment I feel comfortable in so I can be focused and enjoy my three years studying Commerce? That's why going and seeing these universities...

    feeling strange

That is what everyone feels when 13 years of education has finished. Now it's time to move on with your life where this takes you to a career and where you make all the decisions now. It might be scaring at first but when you start to meet new people and you like them, it feels a bit like school...

How to address professors and tutors?

University is not strict as compared to school with formailties. Anyway, at the start of tutorials, the tutor/s will say their name with no title. Some of the tutors aren't even that old.

    UAI for Fashion & Textiles

If you have considered or she has considered this programme, has she spoken to the Design Faculty about her options and what the course offers? Speak to Superstar44 about it because he is doing it this year. The only real question is what does she want from a career in fashion.

    transfer question!

Mate you just can't simply quit the course because it's not what you thought it was. If you decide to tranfer, the university will know that you have done post-secondary studies so they will take into account your university marks. You can only transfer after one semester (if the university...

Mate, you just have to wait.

Waiting for Late Round? (post your course)

That is probably UNSW's capacity to still fill people with that UAI, otherwise I think more people choose Arts at Sydney.

    UAI for Fashion & Textiles

The nature of studying Fashion/Textiles is of course the fact you don't have to have a degree to learn and be successful in learning Fashion design. It's even more difficult when there is a large number of private institutions which offer study in Fashion but I think if you want to be successful...

    unsw econ or macq commerce?

First off, don't try and post your questions in three different threads. I've already tried to answer your question in the Late Round thread. You should have already tried and figure this out. If you still want to do UNSW Commerce, then do well in UNSW Economics and transfer to it.

    transfer course help please

There's no reason for you to transfer to Macquarie to study Commerce so you can study Commerce at UNSW. I mean, obviously you have done well enough to do Economics at UNSW so do well during your first year and apply for UNSW Commerce after that year. You've already done well because your UAI is...

Waiting for Late Round? (post your course)

Is the commerce program not participating in the Flexible Entry Scheme anymore? My old friend got into it two years ago with a 88 UAI. Boy its cutoff has risen..

Waiting for Late Round? (post your course)

Well most people obviously have accepted their Main Round course. But I am sure there are still a number of people still hoping for an offer in the Late Round. A few days left until Wednesday, post your course here.

    callin out all engineers!!

You can transfer with good marks, that means a high credit average or Distinction if you can but it depends on what kind of engineering course you are looking at. UNSW's engineering courses averaged 85.00 UAI in 2006 (check this year's to see if they went up or down).

    DFEE cutoff higher than CSP???

Some of the people this year may have put both CSP and DFEE for one course if they felt that their rank may not be good enough. You would get two options of this was the case from UAC. Obviously, the person would choose CSP and DFEE would be put back.
